Rooted in dub aesthetics, "Lookbook 2021 - 2023" artfully weaves together sonic elements from minimalistic IDM, dubstep, abstract techno, and trancy tech-house, drawing inspiration from Coiffure's UK and aussie club music influences, intertwined with his appetite for experimental and deep electronic music.

The album seamlessly bridges two distinct worlds within the Rennes-based artist universe, offering tracks that cater to both the club environment and introspective listening. Standout compositions such as "Meet Her Stage 2," "9th Mind (Space Version)," and "Truth Gate" pulsate with an infectious energy, tailor-made for the dancefloor. Abnormal is the sound of DJ JM ratcheting it up a notch, both in production-value and musical creativity. The title itself stands as a compact explainer of DJ JM’s constant sonic assignment – Abnormal consolidates years of JM’s work to keep club music weird and unexpected. Retaining the chunky percussion and quick-stepping rhythms he built his name on, the EP also contains intricate, cleverly designed sound-beds, and extends the menacing electro-techno swagger DJ JM began exploring on his previous No Days Off and Squash EPs.

Preferring synths over samples, Abnormal is filled with sudden bursts of psychedelic melody, off-kilter audio-manipulations and bubbling acid-trip basslines. The tracks also have a subtle but distinctly Lithuanian edge, drawing influence from the iterative, morphing patterns of the folk symbols and insignia carved into the remains of ancient settlements near Vilnius.

A shapeshifter across strains of biologic club environs and tender sculptural soundscapes, this project finds Tristan Arp testing the elasticity of his own sonic blueprint through an exploration of varicolored intensity, mischief, and evolution.

Inspired by the sci-fi writings of Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower and Bo-Young Kim’s “An Evolutionary Myth,” the fluidity of free jazz innovator Ornette Coleman, and a fascination with alchemy, these four tracks are designed for freak-time club rapture.

What would it sound like if one could alchemize a self that is beyond the sum of all our parts. Would it make a sound? Would it have a shape? Would it have a body?

As we fall back into club season, Typeless looks to the Parisian producer, Trois-Quarts Taxi System, for its tenth release. 

This 4-track EP is lined with hypnotic melodies, complex rhythms, and organic textures that converge to create a well thought out and layered piece of production. Trois-Quarts Taxi System explores deep and dark tones throughout whilst simultaneously keeping it bouncy and fast moving, giving it a strong place in the club.
