Ricardo Baez draws on many influences. Electro, house, synth-pop and italo are pillars of the Italian artist’s unique style. The Florence based musician arrives at the Bordello with On and On. Featuring Curses, the opener is a floor-filler. Known for his EBM-stained wave works, this vocal mix is a late night Summer romp. Crisp percussion and warm bass lines usher in addictive hooks and throaty vocals from Luca Venezia. The original version follows. 

Lyrics are stripped back allowing the upbeat synth play to take the limelight. Cascading notes announce the flip. “Sfida Notturna” is built on delicate drum patterns and arc of string before breaking to a heady dawn. “Dietro L’orizzonte” brings the curtain down. Toms and cinematic synthlines introduce rasping rhythms and vocoder samples. The piece is perfectly measured, fragile keys ascend next cymbal crashes and computer voice. Sumptuous sounds from the north of Italy.

The EP's title track, "Can't Get Enough," thrusts us into a realm of frenetic beats and palpable energy, creating an immersive experience that feels both sweaty and liberating, while "Hydro" delves into aquatic dreamscape intertwining distortion and trap influences. 
"Trainwreck" propels the listener forward at breakneck speed, capturing the essence of a high-speed locomotive leading us to four visionary remixes adding a kaleidoscope of perspectives to the EP. 

Miss Jay's daring reinvention of "Dirty" sets the tone, with an intense video game-inspired groove evolving into drum and bass, infused with neurofunk influences. Portway's remix of "Can't Get Enough" takes the original into uncharted territories, fusing elements of dnb and electro, creating a futuristic yet vintage sonic landscape.
Galtier's reimagining of "Hydro" paints a sonic picture of fluidity, with a pacey, liquid-esque roller vibe that elevates the track into a conscious, heightened state of mind. Subsism then takes the reins, delving into dub, grime, and trance influences in the remix of "Trainwreck."

The result is a genre-blending piece that adds an extra layer of depth to Bad Tips' exploratory commitment.

Coupled with each original are stellar remix works from Tacit Gleam on an expedition into the system, along with Nostro mainstay Dayzero.

Portway’s offerings carry with them a more minimal sense of pace and design, moving perceptibly into an acutely functional style that match each other across opposite zones of the dancefloor. Lights flare past
your vision as your streamlined craft pushes its way through the wormhole. You’re smiling the whole time. Then all at once, warmth turns to cold – day turns to night. Concluding, we plummet to the rocky surface of the planet to explore the alien beneath the surface.

440 Hz is a producer and relentless digger based in Nantes. With a background in sound engineering, he explores the fringes of bass music through hybrid textures and sharp sound design, with a strong focus on detail and impact. His new EP, Transient, reflects this approach — a project that’s both introspective and physical, shaped by influences from the Australian and UK scenes (Iota, Ok EG, Sam Brickell…).

Blending ambient and bass, Transient brings together airy melodies and dense low-end, driven by tight, organic rhythms. A sense of nostalgia runs throughout, echoing childhood memories and raw sonic tension. Two remixes by Neida and Portway extend this dynamic with their own distinct textures.
