There were a number of memories of which he felt to be missing, one day he hoped that they might return. There were faces and shadows which he could not recall, places he was sure he had been but could not place and moments in time he was not sure had been his.

He wanted to believe and know them all, as if he'd known them to be true and real all along. He wanted to feel the way in which they'd felt - that rush of whimsical nostalgic energy which left him longing to go back.

It seemed as though it was at the very edge of his fingertips - just out of reach. Out there in the great beyond.

Perhaps he was pure lost...

Helium Robots return with new music - a welcome treat. Following previous outings on the likes of Dissident and Running Back they now steady their sights on a new record on Unsure.

Welcome everyone to the unveiling of our latest project at FÆRIES, an experimental independent label dedicated to curating unique and emotionally stirring sounds. Today, we are honored to present “[buffering] Vol.1 Cécile” an eclectic compilation that explores the profound power of music as a source of healing, and restoration.

Music has been a sanctuary for many, a place where emotions are acknowledged, understood, and soothed, pure. With the compilation, we have encapsulated that transformative energy into a rich tapestry of sounds and rhythms, each track speaking a language that resonates with our deepest emotions.

Featuring artists Alexi Shell, Miss Chérie, syyler, DJ würm, Angel Rider, Laura Trance, 10_r3n, H+ Ricky, Aval Douar, Talita Otović, NVST, Seul Ensemble, migu, Chouf feat. Inès Cherifi.

From the very start of Bonebrokk’s debut album, we are plunged into a downward spiral of industrial percussion and distorted voices. ‘Altered Realities’ builds a terrifying maelstrom out of what sounds like an engine in a deep tunnel, a seismic alarm, and a hype MC calling for help through a busted intercom. Soon a galloping kick appears and we are off to the races. From there, the record rarely lets up.

The sonic palette remains fairly consistent throughout, but the album covers a lot of ground rhythmically and stylistically, touching on deformed dancehall, hyperfuture dnb (Vassilina’s guest spot provides one of the few moments of relative tenderness), and loads of mutant, latin-inflected techno rollers. Two beatless interludes provide breathers—‘Timelines Melt’ and ‘Valley of Wolves’— although, as the titles might suggest, even these are steeped in dread.

Bonebrokk has crafted ‘In Between Two Worlds’ as a bridge into an imagined world that he can escape to, a respite from the banality of day jobs and our mundane everyday existence that club music can provide for us all.

The third release of Behua Icára is an EP - VA of reworks from the album “Non Axebo” by Withner FaGo, an activist and rapper from the Shipibo Konibo Xetebo community. Singing in his native language, FaGo narrates myths and legends, as well as stories of cultural and environmental resistance from his community in the central Peruvian Amazon.

Some of these stories emerge from the collective’s imagination and worldview of his community, such as “Chaikonibo,” which refers to enchanted men who protect the jungle; “Non Nete” - Our World - which describes the four indigenous worldviews of the community: Jakon Nete (The Upper World), Non Nete (The Earthly World), Pashin Nete (The Underworld), and Jene Nete (The Water World); and “Mai Yoshin” - Land of Demons - a generational tale from Pucallpa.

“Non Mai” - Our Land - a protest song against oil companies and deforestation, has been reinterpreted by Eomac, with a harsh and frantic percussive syntax, making it the perfect soundtrack for frontline defense.

Faster & Faster Remixes takes listeners on an eclectic journey through five distinct reinterpretations of Swooh's ghettotech original. Reflecting Bad Tips' ethos of embracing diversity and breaking genre boundaries, each remix brings a unique atmosphere, pushing the EP into uncharted sonic territories.

Elpac’s downtempo, mutant dancehall remix creates a smooth, vibey entry point, while Laze shifts gears with a track that moves from ethereal drum & bass into deep, driving techno. Less-O introduces a darker, martial bass-heavy rework, delivering a powerful rhythmic tool for intense moments. Normal Nada The Krakmaxter delivers an eccentric, Lisbon underground-inspired take, drawing from a meta-kuduro multiverse with tribal elements. Finally, Orchid wraps up the EP with a mental techno remix, launching the listener into an out-of-space experience.

Drawing inspiration from UK, Lisbon, and Australian scenes, Faster & Faster Remixes offers a rich panorama of electronic music. Bad Tips continues to defy genre conventions, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in a bold, genre-blurring sonic landscape.

There was a voice inside his head which he couldn’t help but try to let go. It continued to tease and tickle his sensibilities. If only he were able to just wake up and end the dream.

The sun was shining outside as he gazed longingly from the window, he watched as the airplanes passed by overhead. Where they were headed nobody knew but he did wish that he too could fly.

The ceiling fan echoed overhead, distilling some sort of fake, fantastic plastic air which was barely swallowable. Perhaps everything outside was just a mirage, maybe this was still the dream.

Prepare for a sonic revolution with 2AT, an artist from Bogotá and co-founder of Muakk label, introducing his highly anticipated debut album, Kremayera. This album is a bold fusion of Colombian punk culture and modern club music, seeking to continue to explore Muakk’s sound universe.

KREMAYERA is an album that captures the essence of Muakk’s experimental and addictive guaracha sound, with touches of emo, metal, distortion, jungle, drum and bass, and indie. It reflects and showcases Tuaty’s journey through the DIY emo and indie scenes he was part of in his city, Bogotá, while also defining this fast zipper-like sound and style as a subgenre of Latin Core.

Creating moody and captivating ambience with an intricately woven net of frenetic drums is what Obeka does best and the monumental title track from his EP 'Temple Drum' on LOVE IN THE ENDZ is not only yet another example of his great skills but also a testament to how his Afro-Caribbean identity and childhood spent in Bermuda are now artistically expressed within the realm of electronic music. All these influences create a perfect blend that takes centre stage on the upcoming release that is further enriched by remixes courtesy of Kontronatura, BBY FANGZZZ and DJ Doraemon.

We are thrilled to bring you a fresh plate from Peter Simon, better known to the world of bass music as DJ Madd. Respected worldwide for his infectious brand of roots/reggae-heavy dubstep and dubwise that spans the tempo spectrum from dancehall to jungle, he has released on crucial bass-centric labels such as Moonshine, Black Box, the legendary WAR series of white labels, his own Roots & Future imprint, and most recently the excellent Cosmic Bridge. DJ Madd is regularly featured on Rinse FM and BBC Radio, and has been championed by influential DJs from Mary Anne Hobbs to Skream and Breakage.

DJ Madd’s second ZamZam journey moves on from the dark militancy of his first 7”, for a still-heavy but more meditative affair, again showcasing his mastery of space, dynamics and bass-weight in the service of classic dub principles.  While recent outings have seen him pushing into 160bpm ‘slowfast' territory, both tunes here hold it down for the 130-140 massive.  “Interstellar Dub” sets the controls for a warm nebula of sound, beginning with a gorgeous synth melody.  The interplay of spacious reverbs and ricocheting percussion, a worming keyboard line, skanks, majestic horns and massive low end are mesmerizing - familiar in their simplicity and structure, but fresh in their clarity and system-pushing confidence.  Simon takes us into a cosmic realm that is not a hostile void but an inviting home.

“Spook Dub” is a haunted tune with a sonic palette linked to the A side, a darkly playful house of dread smoke and mirrors. DJ Madd’s restraint and frequency control are on full display here, as well as his intuitive sense of what makes a great sound system tune. Heavy and crowd-pleasing wares for DJs, dancers, and eyes-downs worldwide.
