London-based dance-pop artist Christianoshi returns with ‘I’m Not Coming Home for Christmas’ - a hyperpop festive rebellion anthem. Originally from North Wales, he abandons mountains for messiness on this unapologetic ode to self-definition and freedom.
 
This release caps a prolific year for Christianoshi, from the Y2K trance-inspired 'Tryhard' EP in September to a previously unreleased bloghouse remix of his 2011 track ‘You’re Like Drugs’, which quickly became his most-streamed song to date.

Since emerging in 2011 with tracks co-produced by Medicine 8’s Liam May and Anthony Chapman (Klaxons, Franz Ferdinand), Christianoshi drew comparisons to Depeche Mode, Erasure and Pet Shop Boys with early releases such as ’Trust’, a favourite of BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson. Its accompanying 2014 video - depicting a chemsex chillout - remains his most viewed at over 32K plays.

On the back of live performances across London and New York City, Gay Times described Christianoshi as “an electropop act deeper than most.” Following a nine-year hiatus, he returned in 2024 with the 'Little Deaths' EP, produced with DJ Massimo Paramour (ROAST, Trough London, BEEFMINCE), who also co-produced 'Tryhard' and ‘I’m Not Coming Home for Christmas’.

Christianoshi shares: “After the gradual evolution of my sound in the last couple of years, I wanted to go a bit harder musically. The novelty of Christmas songs felt like the perfect excuse to do something unexpected. For me, that meant exploring hyperpop and reconnecting with a younger part of myself that found belonging and freedom on the dancefloor.”

‘I’m Not Coming Home For Christmas’ is accompanied by a lyric video inspired by the indie sleaze and Super Super Magazine aesthetic, reflecting the clubbing era referenced in the song. Riding his strongest streaming momentum yet, Christianoshi shows no signs of coming down any time soon.
