✪First thing I do when I come home: I give hugs & kisses to Eve and Billy (our little doggie)

✪My life as a film title: I think “ Rocky “ is the closest movie to  my actual life. It’s been a long and very difficult journey to be where I am right now, and internally I feel that there is still a long way to go…

Gifted turntables and 90's techno records showed Thomas Heckel early in his youth that he would find his home in electronic music. Heckel has long been known in his hometown of East Frisia for his high-quality DJ sets, and he is now known nationwide for exactly the same thing.
He found his style at "Elektronische Fußpflege" in Oldenburg, where he honed his technical skills and realized that his sets are spontaneous. "My goal is to express something with a set, to tell a story that comes from the heart.
And that can't be planned.
Whether melodic, driving or even dark, Heckel rarely decides which direction he will take. But he knows where the journey will lead him!

In welchen musikalischen Stilrichtungen siehst du dich?
Ich bewege mich gerne zwischen melodischem Techno, groovigem House und dark-deepen Sounds. Diese Mischung gibt mir die Möglichkeit, die Menschen auf eine musikalische Reise mitzunehmen.

Wie bist du zu deinem DJ Namen gekommen? 
"Knete", hat  etwas Spielerisches – wie die Art der Musik die ich höre und auflege. Zudem entstand der Name auf meinem ersten Techno Festival, woran ich mich immer sehr gerne zurückerinnere.

Wo willst du unbedingt mal spielen?
Einmal auf einem großen Festival wie Fusion oder Burning Man aufzulegen, wäre ein Traum. Aber auch Clubs wie z.B. das Sisyphos oder Kater Blau mit einer besonderen Atmosphäre reizen mich sehr.

Hast du ein absolutes Lieblingsset?
Wenn ich mich an ein Set zurückerinnere, welches mich von vorn bis hinten mitgenommen hat und im Moment alles gestimmt hat, war es Schlepp Geist - live zur Fusion 2022. 

Welche Artist haben dich inspiriert oder inspirieren dich noch immer?
Es gibt so viele tolle Artists, deren Musik etwas Zeitloses und Emotionales hat, was ich sehr inspirierend finde. Dazu gehören z.B.  Oliver Koletzki, Super Flu, remcord & elif.

Gibt es bestimmte Rituale oder Gewohnheiten, die du vor einem Aufritt hast, um dich vorzubereiten? 
Ich versuche meine letzte Aufregung mit einem Getränk zu stillen!

Wenn du noch einen Track für den Rest deiner Karriere spielen könntest, welcher wäre das uns warum?
Wenn ich mich entscheiden müsste, wäre es:  For every forever - mathame. Unter anderem mit diesem Lied habe ich damals die Liebe zum melodischen Techno entdeckt & auf und ab gehört. Der Song hat was Emotionales, Fesselndes!

Was machst du sonst gerne in deiner Freizeit?
Ich reise gerne und verbringe viel Zeit mit meinem Freunden & ab und zu verliere ich mich gerne in der Musik. 

Was ist dein Lieblingsessen?
Shish Tawook aber auch Falafel & Halloumi & als Nachtisch Baklava aus der Eisi in Leipzig! 

Was willst du der Welt noch mitteilen? 
Bleibt euch selbst treu, genießt die kleinen Momente und verliert euch hin und wieder in der Musik – sie hat die Kraft, uns alle zu verbinden.

Tuba Twooz guest set for Melodia (live) Pure Ibiza Radio

Badwizad is a live act from Irish brothers Jack & Sam O’Connor, a long conceptualised collaboration from two individually seasoned producers that was finally realised at the end of 2022. 

Articulated as free range & organic psychedelic electronica, their sonic aesthetic encompasses a wide array of influences from trip hop and deep house to alternative indie and psychedelic jazz/funk.

Their debut single ‘Be Bad’ is expected to be released in 2024.
