I've been sitting on these 2 beats for ages, never knew what to do for a remix with either of them. The first beat is a flip of a sample which is so dope but I wanted to add more on top of it to make it more my own. I chopped it up loads to flip it in my own style and speed up the BPM, but I wanted something else to set it apart from the original and give the track more variety. This week I was really struggling with what I wanted to work on, so I looked back at this beat and thought about what would blend well with it. I experimented for ages, and luckily I had another old beat which went really well with it, completely different vibe but they both complemented each other mad well. As you can hear in the original mix of that beat, it's got a cool vibe (I called it victory when I made it cause it made me think of old school video game music when you win a boss battle), but on it's own it gets a bit repetitive, which is why I pitched it down in the original. Cause it was lacking on the low end it fit perfectly with the main sample, which is very full sounding, and acted as a perfect layer ontop. I also filtered low end layers for both beats, really wanted to go for that fat warm sound here which I think worked well for sure. 

Both these beats put together made a nice bittersweet vibe, which made me think of this acapella for the remix. I've remixed the main acapella before but never the remix version, and it ended up fitting perfectly, the hook and flows went perfect with the structure of the beat, and I actually might prefer the remix version overall, it's hard to say to be honest but I definitely prefer the hook on this version for sure. Was also in the mindset to remix this as I'm about to leave my current job and start a new one, which is very bittersweet for me, cause I do like where and who I work with, but moving on is the right thing to do with mad benefits and room for improvement etc (it's a more music focused job too which I'm very excited about).
