Antoninus - Raise Of Issue (Part 1)

Seit Anfang der neunziger Jahre ist Photek a.k.a. Rupert Parkes (geboren 1972, St. Albans, England und in Verbindung mit Ipswich in den neunziger Jahren) für seine Rolle bei der Entwicklung des "intelligenten" Drum & Bass Genre bekannt. Im Laufe seiner Karriere als Photek hat Parkes einen Sound entwickelt, der gleichzeitig individuell, innovativ und zugänglich ist und ihm viel Respekt und Popularität bei Kritikern und Musikfans gleichermaßen einbringt. Die Stärke des Klangs findet sich in Photeks unglaublich detaillierter Drum-Programmierung, die dann durch seinen anspruchsvollen Sinn kombiniert wird, abstrakte Sounds mit Jazz und klassischen Techno-Einflüssen zu kombinieren.

Vor kurzem hat Rupert Parkes mehr und mehr aktiv in der Produktion von Musik für Film, nachdem er an einer Reihe von Scoring-Projekte für kommende Features aus seiner neuen Heimatbasis in Los Angeles gearbeitet. Sein Engagement für die Filmmusik ist offensichtlich, und seine perfektionistische Liebe zum Detail und seine unermüdliche Arbeitsethik führten ihn schnell zum Erfolg in Hollywood.
