Ok, so it took me a while to upload my set which I played at Lethargy Festival two weeks ago in Zurich. It is probably the most famous and largest festival in the area. As my foot was broken, I first thought not to play there.
But finally and like a little miracle it went better three days before. So happy to have played the opener on this very hot summer day. The dance floor was empty at 1 pm, at 3pm it was crowdy and I saw happy faces all around. So I guess Aka Tony was feeling not too bad to take over the decks.

As the musician Mathew Halsall was unable to find a suitable label for his releases, he founded his own music label 'Gondwana Records' in Manchester in 2008. The label is now regarded as the nucleus of the young jazz scene in Manchester and is home to musicians from the UK, Belgium, Poland, USA, Australia and Scandinavia, among others. This results in an exciting contemporary spectrum of spiritual meditative jazz, neo-classical and ambient-electronic crossover. We introduce you to some of the label's artists and projects: Chip Wickam, GoGo Penguin, Mammal Hands, Paradise Cinema, Sunda Arc, Hania Rani, ...

This is my recording from Friday night Room 2, 12:30-2am, my first time being at the mythical Free Rotation. Playing one of the first sets & seeing the room, decor and the big bad subs of Room 2, years of fantastical lore and reality melded, I wanted to keep it sexy, wonky, trippy— imagining a psychic electric swamp and how one would levitate thru it... to the sky. No bpm trickery this time. Out to the heavenly bodies of the universe! ;)

The third offering in our mix series is a live recording of Priori and Cousin's dj set at Sustain Release 2024. Recorded on the last morning between 6am and 1pm on what was meant to be an ambient stage, it featured everything a 3 day festival closing set should. Eclectic picks, strange and emotional sounds, dubious transitions and a few feigned endings. Massive thanks to all the dancers, the Sustain staff (Aurora, Ash and everybody else who put their blood, sweat and tears into this), the music makers, the birds, the stars.

@priori-ties mix begins and ends with a gentle embrace, prowling seductively with dub-driven grooves before retreating into the ether like dusk yielding to dawn. Consistently in motion, but never in haste. Don’t miss the lion’s roar. 

The jewelry released with this mix is inspired by Priori’s fascination with labyrinths. Priori feels like mazes and labyrinths were omnipresent in youth literature and movies but hey rarely encounter them in culture these days.

This set moves through deep grooves, warm percussion, and plenty of emotion. Thanks to everyone who came out early and locked in with me.

Mazi and Kian are the dynamic duo behind Nature of Music, a dj/live act, and Equaria, an event agency based out of Canada. Known for their signature deep-atmospheric sound, combined with drum machines and topped with acapellas, Nature of Music has turned quite a lot of heads in the Canadian electronic music scene. Starting from underground loft parties and slowly making their way to clubs and festivals, their success wasn’t overnight. It was through years of individual hard work that Mazi and Kian finally decided to join forces and create Nature of Music (2009). A project aimed to do more than just making people dance, a partnership aimed to address social and economical problems, to promote spirituality and shed light on propagandas and political misbeliefs.

Exactly three months ago I played at Alice im Wunderland at DOCKS in Hamburg. Do you remember? I definitely do because it was my first all night long or more precisely my longest set I played so far. And it was so much fun! I loved the Prinzenbar and all the other colorful floors with its detailed decoration, the audience, the crazy outfits of some of the guests and of course the hospitality of the DOCKS crew!
