MŎNɅDɅ has called together his brothers from different countries and cultures to create an unforgettable soundscape of distinctive, deep and organic downtempo music. The result is a harmonious blend of 14 epic tracks that will make our hearts beat faster and turn any dance floor into a seething fire.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

When I was born, I remember two voices speaking. “Master!” one voice said. “This is magnificent — the dragon is almost alive!” “Add more water to the inkstone,” another voice said. This voice was near my head, I felt the warm air of his breath. “And speak quietly. You will wake the dragon.” “I am sorry, Master,” the first voice said in a more subdued tone. “It is only that this painting is most amazing, even for such a skilled artist as you. This dragon painting will bring great honor to the village when we present it to the magistrate.” “Wasted on the magistrate,” the master said under his breath, so softly that only I could hear. “A conceited, self-important man, who, when only the imperial family is allowed to use the image of a dragon, commissions one. Now that his son has married the king’s daughter, Magistrate Tiger will do anything to flaunt his power and overstretch his authority. But this painting will buy his favor and free the village from his unfair taxes.”
Figura Retorica bring the tales of Shamanism into the light of this universe. This is their first offering for Shango Records. These tracks are as mellow as a sweet fruit. Adari and Sinai (IT) drink mush flowers and dream of atomic mellows.

Today his focus lies on his own career as Dj and producer of electronic music, where he creates a fusion of folk instruments during his live performances, which gives a more organic face to his recent work.
