Mowesby & the Northern Flicker is an emerging indie-folk band from Worcester, MA. Drawing inspiration from artists like Bon Iver, Pink Floyd, Richard Thompson, and Sigur Rós, they bring a unique post-folk sound to the local music scene, weaving introspective lyrics with dynamic, improvisational textures.

Tricia Reed: Born To The Stage


 Tricia Reed was born Latricia Lyn Rucker in Harrisburg, PA, and moved to Little Rock, AR as a child when her Air Force father was reassigned there. She began her singing career at the age of four, performing with the well-known gospel group the Scott White Family, which at the time was the largest gospel singing family in U.S. and well-known up and down the east coast and in the south. 

 A multi-faceted performer, Tricia says she was inspired musically by such R&B and Gospel artists as Fred Hammond, Karen Clark-Sheard, Yolanda Adams, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, and Kelly Price, but credits Michael Jackson with really opening her eyes to pop music at an early age. Years later Beyonce became a major influence on Tricia’s singing style and stage presence, and she credits the superstar with helping her craft her own authentic, unique abilities.
