Bait is set to release the debut EP, ‘Hepp’, from Leipzig producer Old Man Crane with four subterranean bass experimentations.
Marking the 16th release on the label since its inception in 2023, the connection between Old Man Crance and the label started via a DM with her demos and blossomed into a collaborative partnership including a spontaneous back-to-back with Beatrice M. at Bassmaessage last year. The ‘Hepp’ EP follows shortly on from Old Man Crane’s first appearance on Bait via the One Hundred and Fifty Steps compilation series and begins an exciting chapter for the emerging artist.

Comprising four original tracks, including collaborations with Montréal-based artist SIM and Serbian producer Feloneezy, Ziran sees the London-based artist elevate his craft, drawing on his refined approach to sound design and sonic clarity to deliver a spacious, hypnotic, and fully immersive label debut, one that presents an altered sense of human nature that cannot be reached by words.

CCL launches their subglow label with Rebuild, an EP from Bristol club provocateur @georg-i, featuring remixes from @Metrist and the elusive B. McQueen.

Rebuild is influenced by math rock's feverish and cataclysmic energy, eschewing conventional club BPMs in favour of dizzying tempo trickery and polymetric wizardry. “Torn In Two” gets off to a slow, chugging start, with raucous synths riffing over emphatic drums, but soon swirls into a juddering, pointillistic frenzy. “Bridging The Gap” is a cathartic shout, an acidic crescendo whose triplet meter offers tempo-transitioning opportunities for adventurous DJs who don’t mind a bit of maths. “Communication” gallops along cathartically through ricocheting synths and drums, unfolding into a thrilling breakdown. On remix duties, B. McQueen re-imagines “Torn In Two” as a sultry, dubbed-out roller, charting groove across a heady plain, while Metrist’s ambitious rework of “Communication” amps up the tension and primes it for a peak-time dancefloor sometime in the next millennium.

@SSSLIP and @Betonbrutt have tapped up grime pioneer Trim to add his bars on 17th Grid release, pressed for the first time on vinyl !

Trim steps up to the mic for the lead track, 'Pigeons', which brings next-gen grime energy with raw, club-ready vibes and menacing bars that are underpinned by a wobbly low end, and it's all perfect for dance floor detonation. 'Transit Limb' dives into a nostalgic yet forward-thinking fusion of experimental grime and UK bass that subtly echoes the sounds of the early 2010s with twisted breaks and chopped vocals.
The boys also invited @Notiiton and @BeatriceMasters for two great remixes, Noti turned the lead track into a precise electro banger and Beatrice drowned Transit Limb to the darkest depths of the ocean to close the EP.

RQBLK01 is the inaugural release of Aotearoa/New Zealand-born turned Naarm/Melbourne-based label Racquet Club's 'black label' series.

A double-single & the debut of One Eight, a dub techno joint designed to push club systems with a remix via Ōtautahi-via-Pōneke producer Shli.

'Private Dub (Shli Remix)', premiered here, is a tough reimagining of One Eight's original track, marrying the recontextualised synths with steppy percussion. Moody music for cold winter days across both Naarm & Ōtautahi alike.
