以前ぼくの楽曲「サーカスナイト」をremixして送ってくれて以来、ずっと気になる存在でした。新しいアルバム素敵ですね。自在に駆け巡るメロディと、歌心。一聴後、鍵盤を声帯に変えて、指先で歌っているような印象を持ったのですが、なんとfeat曲以外はご自身で歌っているのですね。希有な才能だと思います。そのうち一緒に音出して遊びましょう。

タメの効いたビートの上で琴線に触れてくるペンタトニックが踊る。
じんわり向こうから来る高揚感とノスタルジックにすら感じるメロディーの相性がイイのは知っていましたが、僕にとって、こうゆうタイプの音楽のエクスタシーは、「聞く」音楽というよりは、ある程度大きめのボリュームでベースやキックの低音成分や耳につくスネアの圧を「体感」しながら初めて「感じる」類のモノです。
音楽に10秒間の圧倒的なキャッチーさだけを求めているとしたら、本当にもったいない。
この旋律とビートに、耳だけじゃなく身体全部預けてみてください。
一杯引っ掛けに行くくらいの額を払って、あとはいつもより少しボリュームあげるだけ。
彼氏より、彼女より、癒されるかもしれません。笑

Kan Sanoのニューアルバムを聴きながら「こんなに優しくひびくピアノが流れていると、それだけでどんな場所も素敵な空間に見えてきそうな気がするな」と思い、ちょっと自分の部屋を見渡してみました。
大量のインド太鼓が所狭しと置かれ、取り込んだだけの洗濯物も乱雑に散らばっているという決して素敵だとは思えない状況が目に入り、慌てて片付けを始めました。

Sanoさんの曲は日常の風景を物語のように、センチメンタルに変えてくれる。そういう点においてふっと浮き上がるピアノはどことなくわたしが思うアーマッド・ジャマルに似ていて、しかもわたしたちが気持ちいいと感じてきた質感やグルーヴ感がある。この新作は現在のジャズの音傾向を感じさせる印象の楽曲もあり、バラエティあるアレンジが魅力的でした。
