This month I'm glad to host @missmoon for the second hour of the show with a mix from abstract break beat to futur jazz and house.  
Djing since the end of 1990's MissMoon was a real activist for electronic music in the south of france, inspired Detroit techno and Chicago house. She's also from my hometown and I've played one of my first gig with her back in the days so it's quite symbolic to have her in the show 🙃
i'm still amazed to discover that this part of france has known the golden age of rave parties and electronic music when i was a little baby - looks like I was definitely not born at the right time.

i've took care of the first part of the show with music from Jéroboam, @l-imperatrice, @smilingc, @ishkero, @backatcharecords @gintonicorchestra, @STR4TA, Renee Geyer 💜 and many others!

LYL RADIO - Mellow Madness w/ Clémentine & MissMoon 31.01.23

For our 25th mix we're welcoming Amsterdam based selector DJ Tracksuit, who's supplied an hour and a half of beautiful world rhythms.

We've known Tim for a few years, having linked up previously when he did a mix for our 24 hour Live For Love fundraiser livestream during lockdown. His music taste and knowledge runs seriously deep, and is a DJ we're consistently blown away by. This mix is no different, and shows off his style and versatility.

DJ Tracksuit says: "I’ve been wanting to record this mix for a while but had troubles with turntables, tonearms, needles and in general, a very busy 2022. The result is a full vinyl mix of (mostly) psychedelic and percussive grooves from some of my favourite musical countries (Guadeloupe, Cape Verde & Haiti). Starting at 75 or so BPM all the way up to well over double that in a bit less than an hour and a half. I can imagine an Apricot Ballroom party have a similar (but more stretched out) progression! Protest music, slow & fast Gwo Ka or Zouk, Compas, Carnaval music. It’s all in there, including some of my all time favourite songs. Hope you enjoy and thank you for having me Apricot Ballroomers! ❤"

Together with various artists from the global electronic music scene, the festival has been run by a unique and comprehensive approach and is highly valued as an ensemble of authentic underground music. It has gained a reputation not only in Japan but also in Asia, Europe and beyond. Our aim is to always broaden our horizons, make no frontier, and develop and solidify the RDC brand with global partners and artists who share the love of music.

Returning to Higashi Izu Cross Country Course in Shizuoka, Rainbow Disco Club 2023 will take place from April 29th through May 1st.
