We're excited to share another banger with you, from none other than Alexander Nut. 

As well as being a legendary dj and selector, Alex is one of the founders of Eglo records, home to some of the most exciting music coming out of the UK. Alex's early career in the UK's music scene saw him cut his teeth as resident at London's Plastic People and broadcasting on Rinse FM.

These days you can find Alex hosting his show on NTS radio and playing parties at Spiritland and many other club nights and festivals across the globe. Alex is a legend in the game and we're thrilled to present this mix to you...

In his words "I’m calling this one the Midnight Mediation Mix, as it was midnight when I finished recording it. It’s 90 minutes of escapism, It’s really a journey. Sometimes making a mix can put me into a mediative type of state, when you focus less on the functionality of the mixing and more on the vibe and tone of the songs. Theres no genre or era, its just styles that resonate with the mind, body and soul. I really wanted to put together an OG style mix tape, like the type you pass on to a friend at school, or make for a road trip. I didn’t want to be restricted by tempo or quantisation. It’s all vinyl with a dub echo unit, to bring you that tripped out touch."

Stan Radio 28: Alexander Nut

Native to New York, musclecars is a DJ / Producer duo consisting of Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield. As musicians, they equally share an admiration for the artform. Their desire to blend genres and express their appreciation for music is focused around their community- the end goal is to bring people together. Through a regular stream of high quality mixes, they have begun to turn heads in underground circles.

In 2018 they launched ‘Coloring Lessons’, a party that was aimed to add value to their city’s nightlife culture. While the party and sound is not genre specific, it is heavily focused around house, disco, jazz, and soul, embracing the musical elements of their black and brown ancestors. The monthly party's intention is to bring New York City's dance music scene back to what it was during the golden era of NY nightlife. They aim to spread the music that has been influential to them, and share it with a younger generation of their peers.
