We are excited to present the latest EP from Klaves, a young house producer from Poland. He has put together a very cohesive mixture of tracks that effortlessly blend garage and deep house with a very stripped down and relaxed vibe. His complex chords, sparkling synths and soulful vocal snippets create a unique atmosphere that has becoming undoubtedly Klaves. Chicago artist, Different Sleep, changes up the vibe entirely with a dark, 808 driven remix with intricate hi-hat and arp work. Symbols regular, Figgy, returns with a remix of 'Right Here' and blesses us with his touch and expands on the bassline.

Gianpaolo, aka Savile, first graced the decks at Hot Mass in early 2016, delivering an excellent, extended warm-up set before Volvox took the reigns.  Being the stellar DJ and beaming ray of humanity that he is, we couldnt help but invite him back to program the entire night a few months later.  This time around, Savile invited Argot label-mate and fellow great human, Stefan Ringer, to share the decks.  This is an excerpt of their 7+ hours in the booth that night.  Stefan soundtracks the first two hours and Savile take the last two. Enjoy :)

With a raw and rooted sound, this Atlanta producer/DJ blends laconic raps and sensual, low-slung house beats that feel distinctly American.

Stefan Ringer is an Atlanta-based producer and DJ who’s released original music under his own name, on labels such as Smart Bar’s Argot and Kai Alcé’s NDATL Muzik, and under aliases such as REKchampa, Black Suede and Al Hype. Taking inspiration from local house figures like Alcé as much as from his love of rap music and DIY production aesthetics, Ringer’s sound draws from a broad church of black American music to create a subtle soundscape of laid-back house beats imbued with boogie basslines and downtempo raps.
