Volcov has been an Italian advocate for souful, melodic house music for well over 20 years, launching Archive in 1997 and Neroli in the year 2000. As a DJ, collector and music lover since the late 80’s, Volcov has played all around Europe, USA and Japan.

Over the past 7 months Hakim’s been crafting mixes for podcasts for his monthly show which really opened his mind to present music outside of the 4 on the 4 floor house music that he loves. However, once in a while one must go back to their roots and in Hakim’s case is beating a mixtape like he’s at the club. This mix is raw and uncut journey that spans several genres of house that represents house culture.

Hakim is a producer/dj from the Chicagoland area who's musical style ranges from House to Techno. Hakim's journey begin as a dancer in Chicago as a lot of his musical influences come from Larry Heard, Robert Armani, Dance Mania, Relief, and Cajual records. As a Chicago footwork dancer, Hakim gradually became inspired by the music and began playing records in 1996. Since then Hakim has ventured into production work and eventually founded two records labels in 2008: Machining Dreams; and Synapsis Records with Avondale Music Society.

An incredibly diverse musician who can shift between New Age, Deep House, Funk, Jazz & more, his sound has a constant deep retro atmosphere at its foundation coupled with 80s synths, complex polyrhythmic bass lines, dream like chords & retro drum machines.

Fuelling his artistry are wide-ranging inspirations from Theo Parrish, Larry Heard, Ron Trent, Benedek, Bonodo & Trinidadian Deep to Herbie Hancock, Prince, Sade, Kuniyuki Takahashi, Robert Glasper, Dam-Funk, George Duke, Hans Zimmer, John Carpenter & so much more.

A few words about Gary :

Originally from Verona, but with German roots, Gary has been on the Italian scene for over a decade. A young talent both as a DJ and a producer who is making space quickly thanks to productions of the highest quality.

The 2-track EP “𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 / 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲” was the first single released by @mothertonguerecords , where he now works full time as head of the distribution department.

His songs were also included in the compilation "𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮" of the 2nd anniversary of the printing house, in the series "𝗬𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀" and in other projects related to the Verona Pressing Plant.

On top of that he just released a fiery remix of Reekee's "𝗡𝗼 𝗢𝗻𝗲" on @timetoplayrec
