Ciel, born Cindy Li, is a producer, DJ, promoter, and radio programmer based out of Toronto, Canada. She currently runs two of the country’s most forward thinking party series (It’s Not U It’s Me and Work in Progress) and hosts a femme & queer - prioritizing radio show each month on n10.as.

After making her Boiler Room debut with a heady & kinetic set last August in Toronto, she's continued to make waves as one of the newest additions to Discwoman’s roster, touted by Mixmag, RA, Crack, and RBMA as one to watch, all of which followed her superb debut release on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs, which ended up on numerous year end lists in 2017.

Combining broken-beat UK influences with functional, slapping techno, https://soundcloud.com/metristikkety's sound evolves with each event, tailoring selections to suit the dance-floor. It's a style that explores all the way to the out-edges, with alien-like sound design and mangled beat-work (amongst other idiosyncratic qualities) that make it all so engrossing from start to finish.

Through his collaborations with labels such as https://soundcloud.com/opal-tapes, Where To Now? and most recently https://soundcloud.com/timedance, Higgins's work has been described by Hardwax as a “Dare-to-be-different true techno explorer” and with mix 134 in our series, it's clear as day to see.

As co-founder of the notable SHED events, as well as resident at local techno party Renegade,  Eastern Distributor (Daniel Jakobsson) is a fast rising talent in the burgeoning Sydney electronic music scene. 

Taking influence from his time spent living in Amsterdam and Berlin, Daniel creates and performs music that typically orbits around “peak energy levels of techno, electro, and bass music, fused with organic percussion and off-kilter, tribal drum work”.

As a collaborative effort, Daniel helps to curate parties for his own brand SHED - a DIY music management, touring and cultural production agency that has hosted artists such as DJ Gigola, Lou Karsh, and Nadia Struiwigh, often in disused, repurposed, and reimagined spaces.
