After just over a year-long hiatus from the Earthly Tapes series – the 3rd Chapter is finally upon us. Offering more mind-altering tracks to the series, we welcome 6 new members to the Earthly Measures familia!

We kick things off with ‘Comets (part I & II)’, the first release by ORSO, the new musical project from Jean Dasso AKA Yeahman, stepping into club and drum music. Alongside faster rhythms, he is influenced by UK Break music, African dances and traditional instruments. In the opening track for Earthly Tapes 03, we’re taken through a two chapter journey led by modular melodic loops, old traditional voices samples, ORSO’s own recordings.

We then take a trip to Argentina as we welcome Balam to the EM family, join him as he takes you on a daydream across the Latin-American rainforest where synthesizers and nature collide to make the perfect mix, guided by a voice from the deep jungle. ‘Ensueño’ is a dance-floor tool for both the start and end of the night.

Japanese native Mamazu brings up the tempo for the third track ‘Tombi’. Transporting us to a hypnotic and hedonistic state as delightful aerophones sound with the exotic chant delivering the feeling of a dry breeze from the unseen frontier. Another dance floor ripper!

The B-side starts with ‘Voces’, a track inspired by the music that Chilean artist DJ Raff’s mum listened to when he was a teenager making beats in his bedroom. He used to take her records and tapes to sample and make boom-bap beats at the time. Every time he showed her a new beat, she had the ability to recognize the track that he sampled. Voces is influenced by both Spanish and Chilean 70’s music, although very deconstructed and hidden.

Ditti takes us through ever-twisting waves as we swim upstream, spot the time and take off... welcome to ‘Poly Party’. The soundtrack to a carnivalesque funked out ballad on a Polynesian beach shifting between slide & ride, cutting synths and dripping flows.

We wrap things up with ‘Small Town Rebellion’, a story told by Scottish producer Kusht – this downtempo chugger reflects the story of a young man in a dead-end town with no future. He needs to break his fate and carve his own path by revolting and manifesting his own destiny.

Multi Culti conjure Calypso Cult once again with this split ep from Iñigo Vontier & Thomass Jackson.

Fresh off back-to-back seasons of Tuluminati rituals, these two well-worn chug warriors of dark disco have kept Mexico dancing throughout the pandemic, maintaining a prolific release schedule on top of a world-leadingly busy calendar of gigs. 

Thomass Jackson turns in a pair of wonky eyes-closed bangers with the modular-flecked ‘Big Plastic Room,’ and the restrained ecstatic power of ‘Slow Train.’ Iñigo fires back with the twerky, tribal madness of ‘Jungle Tungle’ and the meandering mushroom-inspired-madness of ‘Hipocampos.’

An unbounded dreamweave into the strange and beautiful. This far-reaching remix is a spiritual M.O.T for the mortal coil as it revels and revolves in the magical melee of musical meanderings presented by Strange Beautiful.

Dreems and Mojo worked together on this special remix from behind the curtain, up the sleeve and in the clouds - the results speak for themselves.

The Wizard of Oz meets The Little Mermaid on mushrooms. Perhaps.

With releases on the likes of Hard Fist, Calypso, Get Physical and Playground, Argentina's Balam finally drops his first full artist EP on Multi Culti, a label where his blend of tribal percussion with folkloric samples and modular synth riffs couldn't be more at home. These five trippy sub-120-bpm tracks invoke spine-shaking trance without resorting to the generic tropes of PSY. Mid-tempo ritual chuggers sure to send psychedelically-inclined clubbers into chakra-raising ecstasies, while converting at least a few listeners as-yet-uninitiated in the cult of 'organic house'.

Running a record label has sour moments and sweet moments. But there is a type of situation that is one of our favorites: opening the inbox, finding new material from emerging artists, pressing play and blowing our minds. In short, this is the story of ‘In The Maze’, the debut EP of the Hungarian duo Geopard Tourist.

What's more, and as if his fascinating music weren't enough, we've had the pleasure of adding the Australian hero Dreems with a dub version in the best Multi-culti style of the track 'Baboon'.

We invite you to make yourself comfortable and get ready for a psychedelic, playful and immersive sound experience that will lead you to lose yourself in the different paths and landscapes of this enchanting maze.

PREMIERE : Geopard Tourist feat. Eki - Baboon (Dreems Remix)

Tastebuds teased. Senses seasoned. Long-time friends Fernanda Arrau and Balam collide once again. This time making their debut on Pets, they proceed to refresh our palates with a whole new set of sonic spices. 

Taking off where they left us on United Colors Of Rhythm with Baila, the longstanding Spanish/Argentinian connection serve up 'Sabor A Disco'. Translating to disco flavours, it lives up to its name with a whole bombardment of acid spices and techno aromas. Slow roasted for full hypnotic effect, your dancefloor will be chewing for hours on this one. 

It's backed up by the equally tasty 'Dinho'. A hearty percussive strew of South American instruments, marinated in fiery Latin heat, it's another high energy example of the two producer's skills and strengths; Fernanda brings her warm, emotional grooves while Balam brings that driving momentum and weight. 

For added measure, and a very sweet final course, Musumeci brings an enlightening remix twist to 'Dinho'. Also making his debut on Catz n' Dogz label, the Italian techno trooper brings a completely different twist to the track with a breakdown that will leave you hungry for more.
