Luis Damora is a key figure in the Spanish electronic scene. Influenced by music from a young age, he began DJing at 16 and soon became a resident at top Madrid clubs like Circus and Space of Sound. Seeking fresh inspiration, he spent years in Miami and London before returning to Spain with a refined style, leading to releases on labels like Sudbeat and Armada, as well as remixes for artists such as Wally Lopez and Chris Cargo. His recent Lose Kontrol EP, a collaboration with Nila on Balance Music, showcases his continued push for innovation in progressive house.

One of my favorite quotes is ‘Words can only affect you to the degree in which you think they are true.’ Now, recently since I've been DJing more, I've been getting some messages saying you're not a real DJ or you're only getting these gigs because you have a lot of followers or you're the problem, you're what's wrong with the scene. And this used to affect me, but it absolutely does not affect me anymore because I know I am putting in the work. I am listening to every single Beatport release. I'm listening to every single promo that comes my way. I'm reaching out to my favorite up and coming producers to get my hands on unreleased music that nobody else has heard yet. When you put in the work, you stop worrying about the opinions of others and you focus more on your own progression. Sander Kleinenberg once told me that a great DJ listens to four thousand tracks and picks the best twelve he think the dancefloor will enjoy most. And that's all I'm focused on. I'm putting in the work. I know you guys are putting in the work too, and because of that, I think this week's mix is my best mix yet. And I really hope that you all enjoy it. The new EP grew out of a love for music. It is one where Dharze's heart is on his sleeve. It describes his frustrations with the Music Industry as a whole and a way for him to process the complete commercialization of every aspect of human existence. Growing up in the rural farmlands of his Hometown in Kerala, his needs were one with nature. Life happens, and suddenly there are other things going on. The EP has three tracks reflecting his inner state of being as well as a reflection of this current age. This EP is a divergence from his usual melodic techno sound to a more deeper and genre-fluid production.
