Scippo hails from the windswept landscapes of Rio Gallegos, Patagonia, where his love for electronic music first took root. A move to Buenos Aires at 17 only deepened his obsession, and by 2019, his hypnotic, groove-heavy sound found a home on Sudbeat. This was followed by standout releases on Hope Recordings and The Soundgarden, alongside an inclusion on Nick Warren’s Balance presents The Soundgarden compilation. 

Today, Scippo channels much of his energy into Flown Records, a label he co-owns and nurtured into a go-to imprint for underground heavyweights. It has cemented his place in the global dance music conversation.

In this Balance Selections mix, the producer straddles the line between house and techno, weaving a dynamic journey that blurs the boundaries between the two. Featuring tracks from Kabi (AR), Four Tet, Sam Shure, and more, this 90-minute set proves that progressive house can still pulse with hypnotic energy when it leans into its house-driven roots.

And this used to affect me, but it absolutely does not affect me anymore because I know I am putting in the work. I am listening to every single Beatport release. I'm listening to every single promo that comes my way. I'm reaching out to my favorite up and coming producers to get my hands on unreleased music that nobody else has heard yet. When you put in the work, you stop worrying about the opinions of others and you focus more on your own progression. Sander Kleinenberg once told me that a great DJ listens to four thousand tracks and picks the best twelve he think the dancefloor will enjoy most. And that's all I'm focused on.
