Sugar Flow
The second track on this release entitled Sugar flow, starts with a smooth sound of using an iconic soft female vocal, gentle keys, subtle acoustic guitar and that classic Coolie High hook, to give the listener that laid back nineties Hip Hop/R’n’B flavour. As the drums kick, you’re reminded that the drum and bass vibes are not lost behind that R’n’B sound. Sitting perfectly in the mix, using classic jungle loops to build the tension. Each layer effortlessly builds to the drop, then the bass adds the final piece of the puzzle. The velvety, soothing bass sounds provide the driving continuous to the track that pulls everything back to the centre for a well produced and mixed sound. Link has given us somewhat of a throwback track showing us that the new wave have certainly not forgotten their roots.
