Power-duo Blame The Mono was born in Berlin in 2019. Brought up to the soundtrack of rock and metal, this Frenchman and Englishman have since seeked to push the boundaries of conventional techno while staying true to its groove-focused origins. 

Their two EPs released on Taapion and Possession have showcased a heavy usage of vocals combined with
rich song arrangements, keeping their tracks interesting while always fine tuned for peak-time chaos. 

They have combined for us mostly unreleased belters from themselves and friends for a drivey high-intensity session

Here is PART TWO of the live recording of my all night long set at Warf Chambers in Leeds for Rogue Puppet on 07/04/2023.

For the final half of this set, I moved into playing harder and faster industrial grooves, including a number of new and old tracks from myself, then flowed back in to the funky grooves and finally into some classic Jungle and DnB,

PART TWO - Rogue Puppet: Balrog All Night Long [Recorded Live @ Warf Chambers, Leeds - 07042023]

𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓 - real name Przemek Puzewicz, has been an active member on the polish scene as a DJ and event promoter since 2005. By this time he had a chance to try a variety of different techno styles such as: classic, acid, uk, groove and hard getting sometimes close to schranz, however the sound created on TB-303 has always been closest to his taste. His sets are full of dynamics, rolling drums, cut vocals mixed with fine amount of acid, usually hard but not necessarily heavy. As an event promoter he was introduced to the scene with Sleepwalkers crew but it is Warsaw Mechanism, which he had co-created, that was the biggest success among polish underground techno collectives. Currently he works on a new project Theia Crush which started in March 2023.

Starting off with the underground sounds of Brooklyn Bounce, The Prodigy, Lenny Dee, The Outside Agency, Dr. Macabre/Lunatic Asylum, Daft Punk, Da Hool, Darude, Paul van Dyk and many more, Ercan Ates has developed a unique Techno sound. Ercan released his first EP back in 2008 on Elektrax Recordings as his alter ego Wobbler and continued with The White Dwarf in 2010. His Cosmic Collisions EP was a top selling record which was followed by his 2014 hit Rotterdrone. In 2018 he released his Album on Industrial Strength/Hard Electronic which was a top seller. If you like dark, grinding, dirty and industrial sounds, you are definitely in for a treat.

Our latest podcast is now online featuring Italian duo DCMBR based in Milan.

Currently resident DJs at Closer, Daniele and Federico originally started to play together way back in 2006 but it wasn't until 2018 they decided to choose a name that represent themselves as a duo, settling on DCMBR which is their shared month of birth. 

Since early 2019, together with their friend HERMETE, they created their own label called Kriptika Records which has  been an outsource for some of their own productions alongside tracks from some well known artists.

Hailing from Leeds in the north of the UK, Balrog (Alex) is an artist whose style focuses on heavy groove-ridden drums, driving bass lines, and distorted vocals. His tracks take influence from classic hardgroove but with a fresh injection of modern industrial power. Focussing on this signature sound of industrial groove techno has seen him release on labels including Soma, Ear To Ground, Hydraulix, Instruments Of Discipline, Moments In Time and Green Fetish.

The industrial groove sound also characterises Balrog’s high-energy DJ sets which have seen him headline events in cities such as New York, Berlin, London, Leeds, Manchester, Budapest, Glasgow, and more.

Balrog also runs his own record label, Khazad Records, which releases music from the very best industrial groove and hard techno talent around.

In addition to his Balrog alias, Alex also also plays and produces under, The Groovemeister General, focussing exclusively on moulding together deep, funky and grooving house and techno records.
