B/lza is the musical project of producer and DJ Santiago Balzaretti, launched in 2020 and shaped by his experiences across Mexico, Costa Rica, Chicago, and NYC. With support from artists like Ginchy, performances at some of NYC’s top clubs and 550k+ streams across SoundCloud and Spotify, B/lza is carving out a name in the electronic music scene.
At its core, the project is about forging a deep connection between music and self. His compositions and mixes carry a common thread: change, resilience, and movement—uniting listeners through progressive, melodic rhythms and well-defined basslines.

Those who have seen him play live will attest to his versatility both as a musician and a Dj. Sho Down grabs the attention in the club with flawlessly mixed sets of futuristic and cutting edge dance music, infused with tactical EFX trix and turntablist techniques.

 It all started in 1989 when a young Matt Staiduhar (AKA Dj Sho Down) started spinning records with some belt drive decks resurrected from the trash. Coming from several generations of musicians, his father saw his determination from very early on and rewarded his dedication with a pair of technic 1200s and a mixer at age 10. With an untamed passion for music, he dedicated his life to developing and mastering the art of scratch, while pushing the boundries of electronic music through his skillfully programmed sets.

Sho Down's influences range from early electro & breakin jams, to progressive house and techno. He has performed a broad range of shows from large scale underground events to the modern day club circuit and everything in between. At the turn of the millenium, Sho Down became part of the original group of Infamous Records Breakers. A versatile collective of turntablists who joined forces to impress crowds with their 10 turntable sets and jaw dropping performances. Djing was just the beginning. With his thirst for knowledge, and creative abilities, he decided to take a new direction in entering the world of music production and remixing.

Sho Down currently has releases out on Bush, Boo, and Active ingredient. With his eyes set on 2014, and upcoming remixes and original projects, Sho Down's burning desire for the limelight will not be extinguished anytime soon, so stay on the lookout for this rising star.
