My early musical taste’s ranged from Stanley Clarke to George Duke to Level 42, with a particular love for bass, this might have explained the head over heels falling for early electro basslines from Nucleus, Tyrone Brunson, Hashim and other street sounds compilation artists on the electro albums series. 

I then discovered Jean Michel Jarre and other string based music, this lead onto a love of Techno from Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Carl Craig. House followed shortly after this with Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez and Larry Heard. 

I started making my own music around 1992 with established producer Dave Charlesworth and we are still good friends today, I then recorded under a few names during the late nineties, almost all of them Drum and Bass orientated. 

Through my friends and DJ’s such as Laurent Garnier, Andy Weatherall, Derrick May, Rick Hopkins, Paul Oliver, Andy Palfrey and Steve Moore, I regained my love of house and techno and have kept this love of artists such as The Martian, Underground Resistance, Ritchie Hawtin, Mauritzio, Underworld, Jimpster, Stimming, Joris Voorn and many others to this day. 

Today my musical tastes range all the way from Jazz to Deep House, to Techno, To Soul to Rap to Dub, to downtempo/chill out artist such as Zero 7, Boards of Canada and Crazy P .

This is reflected in the music i make now as it has an influence of 25 years of listening, the biggest importance to me in music is feel, or emotion, without it good music has no purpose.
