ionoss is an aspiring manipulator of visuals, matter, and sound - at the beginning of an errant path which may end in a mesh of cables, synthetic skin, and autotuned delirium. Drawn to jagged rhythms, guttural bass, screams, and the sounds of blips, bells, and droplets. She conjures sonic spaces where the artificial becomes intimate, like the 'Rodeo & Digital Larvae' show on LYL Radio she co-runs with Aramo, and 'The Relentless Grip Of Time', her new solo residency on Fade Radio.
Today, the Athens-born, Marseille-based artist graces us with one of her haunting audio collages, a chaotic transmission where signals slash, voices rupture, and rhythms shatter like bone. Though, hunger lingers, and this cyber-utopian creature crawls through the backrooms of your memory, scavenging for terabytes to drain. Like a dead pixel born from too many glitches, her feral grin remains etched on your screen, as her mix floods your ears to the point of saturation.
