Perpetual Emotion Machine is the 9th album by Radium88 and their first full-length release on Disco Gecko. Over the years, Radium88’s sound has evolved into an evocative blend of artful electronica with neo-classical piano and futuristic dream-pop. Here and there are splashes of folk, jazz and psychedelia, creating ethereal and mysterious atmospheres. While not a concept album, there are recurring themes of the evolving relationship between human and machine.  Tracks feature lush ever-shifting textures, chiming, whirring, pulsing synths, the click and clack of exact clockwork, overlaid with echoing heartache-laden vocals of crystalline purity.

S.O.N.A.T.I.O.N. Downtempo Electronica is a music band composed of two talented artists, Darkly A.M. and nOzart. The duo combines their individual musical styles to create a unique sound that blends electronic beats with ambient textures and hypnotic melodies.

Darkly A.M. is a producer with a passion for creating atmospheric soundscapes. He draws inspiration from nature as well as genres such as trip-hop, dub, and IDM. Darkly A.M.'s production skills are evident in S.O.N.A.T.I.O.N.'s music, where he creates lush, cinematic textures that transport the listener to otherworldly places.

nOzart is a DJ and producer with a love for synths and piano. He is known for his eclectic taste and ability to blend different styles seamlessly. nOzart's contributions to S.O.N.A.T.I.O.N. include his ear for catchy hooks and melodies. He also brings a love for experimenting with sounds and creating unexpected sonic twists to the table.

Together, Darkly A.M. and nOzart form S.O.N.A.T.I.O.N., Downtempo Electronica, a band that creates music that is both soothing and thought-provoking. Their music invites the listener to slow down and immerse themselves in a dreamlike world of sound. With their blend of electronic and organic elements, S.O.N.A.T.I.O.N. Downtempo Electronica creates music that is both modern and timeless.

Children of the Bong are British duo, Rob Henry and Daniel Goganian. Formed as teenagers in 1993, they set out to create unique music that reflected all the elements they liked from the early 90s club and festival scenes. Fusing dub bass lines and effects with funk breakbeats and fiery acid melodies, packaged around lush ambient soundscapes and analogue powered psychedelia.
Suitably signed to Planet Dog records in 1994, the pair extensively toured the UK and Europe with a live show that included DJ Marin (Nick Trim), who’s turntable antics added another layer to the spaced out interludes and all-out crescendos. That year saw ‘Symbol i’ released on the label’s Feed Your Head Vol. 2 compilation then later, ‘Ultrascope’ & ‘Ionospheric State’ appeared on one side of Quadraped Vol.1
The following year, they were packed off to the Welsh mountains armed with equipment borrowed from label mates Banco de Gaia along with producer/engineer Andy Guthrie (100th Monkey); to finish the album that was to become Sirius Sounds. 
Released July 31st 1995, ‘Sirius Sounds was an immediate success, selling well both in the UK and US…appealing to a post-rave audience who were seeking something beyond straight 'four to the floor' dance music.’ 
This was to be the only album the pair released and they split in 1996 to pursue other projects. Rob went on to form Euphonic with Nick Trim and released their self titled album - now re-released as ‘Low Orbit Archives’ on Banoffee Pies records. Daniel created a few more tracks under Children of the Bong that appeared on the Mashed Mellow Grooves compilation.
All tracks released on Planet Dog along with alternative versions, demos and remixes appear alongside a complete live set performed in 1995 in the remastered, re-released, ‘Sirius Sounds Expanded’ version. This is also available as a 3CD box set with 20 page booklet featuring many unseen photographs and artwork and  insightful sleeve notes by Kris Needs.

‘Sonic Ambulance’ is the first release from a hidden treasure trove of unreleased material that was unearthed while researching tracks to go on ‘Sirius Sounds (Expanded)’ and contains the starting culture of the Children of the Bong sound that features 100% live performances without sequencers. 
Influenced by electronic, ambient and psychedelic pioneers of the 60’s & 70’s such as Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno and Pink Floyd; the pair utilise analog synths, guitars, effects, found sounds and voice with a smattering of looped samples. These are raw streams of consciousness between two young psychonauts discovering the electrodelic world for the first time and delve in worlds also occupied by more contemporary artists of that period such as the Orb and Aphex Twin.

Created in 1993/94, these recordings have been salvaged from long forgotten cassettes and DATs and as such may contain tape hiss and occasional digital glitches. While they have been mastered to remove as much audio detritus as possible, they have been largely left unedited to preserve the original intention. 
This is not intended to be a critical masterpiece and its lack of beats may not interest those firmly rooted on the dancefloor, however lovers of electronic sound and those curious about the origins of Children of the Bong need not look any further!

As a nod to their earlier days of selling demo cassettes at live gigs, Sonic Ambulance will be available exclusively on Bandcamp and for a limited period as name your price!

Sheffield (UK) based downtempo electronica composers, producers and DJs, specialists in creating and performing live soundtracks to cult films, and purveyors of heartwarming ambient electronica with a hint of soul.

Banco De Gaia has been performing and releasing for over 25 years now, along the way becoming one of the music industry’s most maverick innovators. His legacy is as glittering as it is diverse, ranging from Hollywood film sound credits to the critically acclaimed ‘Last Train to Lhasa’, first released in 1995 to a rapturous reception. His live act still packs out venues and festivals all over the world, with audio-visual performances renowned for their explosive, cutting edge quality: from sampling wizardry fused with haunting vocals and poignant acoustics to genre-hopping musical instrumentals, all accompanied by socially engaged visuals.

Behind Banco de Gaia is artist Toby Marks. Starting out as a drummer in a metal band, he began using sampling kit to cut his own tunes after falling in love with electronica during the 1980s acid house era. By the early 90s, after winning respect for a clutch of credits on the Ambient Dub compilations, he was signed to Planet Dog Records and released ‘Maya’, in 1994, and then ‘Last Train to Lhasa’, in 1995.

Both albums featured an artfully arranged cocktail of textured samples and live instrumentals lifted from across the world. Both went straight to No. 1 in the UK Independent Charts as well as sweeping through the international electronica scene, making him, along with the likes of The Orb, one of the early pioneers of ‘chill out’. Both ‘Last Train to Lhasa’ and ‘Heliopolis (Eudopolis Dog Mix)’ notably featured on Sasha & Digweed's classic ‘Northern Exposure’ mix CD among myriad other compilations. 

Since then, he's released a further 6 studio albums, 1 live album, 1 live DVD and 15 EP’s and also runs his own label, Disco Gecko Recordings. He went back to basics in 2014 with a sold-out 20th Anniversary CD-only (no streams or downloads available) release of ‘Maya’, followed by similar 20th Anniversary editions of ‘Last Train to Lhasa’ in 2015 and ‘Live at Glastonbury’ in 2016.

Pink Floyd and psychedelia remain a constant influence: Banco’s cover of Echoes in 2007 helped shape the ‘Memories, Dreams, Reflections’ collection in 2009 and Floyd’s legendary saxophonist Dick Parry was one of Marks’ special guest collaborators (alongside no-man’s Tim Bowness and Zero 7’s Sophie Barker) on his ‘The 9th of Nine Hearts’ album, which came out in October 2016.

Sophie Barker’s distinctive and critically acclaimed vocal range, paired with her emotional song-writing skills, have yielded world-wide chart-topping singles, million-selling albums and music collaborations with artists as diverse as David Guetta, Zero 7, Groove Armada, The Egg and Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins).

Having formed her first group at 9 years of age, as a teenager, Sophie went on to write and perform songs with her guitar at venues across the UK. After completing her degree at UCL, she moved beyond her mid-90s record deal with Sony, to join down-tempo lounge wizards, Zero 7, and co-wrote their huge hit ‘Destiny’ with Sia Furler. 

Her evocative vocal delivery and charismatic stage presence became an integral part of the Zero 7 sound and live show. Capitalising on her fan base, she began to release as a solo artist. Her first two albums ’Earthbound’ (2005) and ‘Seagull’ (2011) gained support from DJs as varied as Don Letts and Janice Long with radio plays on BBC 6music and Radio 2 among a plethora of other stations.

Her long-awaited 3rd solo album, ’Break the Habit’ took 4 years to record but sees her more comfortable than ever in her own skin. Undoubtedly her best work to date, the LP effortlessly flows between her upfront live sound, finely-honed from intense touring and appearances with her band at festivals and venues across the UK and USA, and more atmospheric, mood-driven electronica.

Disco Gecko Recordings was set up in 1998 by Toby Marks of soundcloud.com/BancodeGaia. Originally an outlet for just his own music, it is now becoming home to a range of artists across various genres. Rather than cater to a particular style or subculture, the Disco Gecko ethos is to promote music with heart, integrity and depth. Sometimes ecstatic, sometimes contemplative, it is always music with beauty at its core.

As two of the original psychedelic trance pioneers, their extensive discography includes releases on prominent labels such as Nano Records, TIP, Flying Rhino, Phantasm, Matsuri, Transient, Flow, RTTS, amongst many others. In their words, the sound of ManMadeMan is described as “ a totally original style, a bit hard to define, but who cares - it’s positive, funky, psychedelic and musical all at the same time. It has a knack of totally igniting a dance floor while never retracing old steps and yet manages to always sound like ManMadeMan.”

LO18 is a solo project by musician and studio engineer Kari Lounela. LO18 springs from experiments with soundscapes, music, instruments and other devices.
