In March of 2012, Erika Owen sat in a management class and decided to check out for the day. Instead of taking notes, she created a blog—Band Bombshell. Early on, the website focused on acts local to the Des Moines area. Since graduating from Drake University, she has moved to NYC and continues to cover bands, both local and international acts. At its core, Band Bombshell is all about showing local bands and musicians some love.

The Wire Frames are brothers Curtis Weigel and Ethan Rietz. Curtis has an unyielding need to express himself through the magic of song, and Ethan has a passion for beating drums and mathematics. They are often accompanied on stage by Peter Gartin, a handsomely bearded maestro in his own right.
