The Year of the Horse brings relentless energy and progress! The horse is energetic, bright, warm-hearted, intelligent and capable. An able and accomplished person can be called a 'Qianli Ma', a horse that covers a thousand li (500Km) a day. So this is for all my Qianli Ma friends!

Since the horse people always came from the northern steppes I've included some Mongolian throat music to evoke the feeling of the grasslands. 

Have a great Horse Year, and I hope it brings you the energy and optimism you need to accomplish your dreams!

This one away 7” from a limited edition of 500 features Bristol’s gravel voiced dancehall supremo Blackout JA. His cry for freedom on Mungo’s Hi Fi’s Imitators riddim has been getting rinsed on dubplate since last year. The flip side is a fat cut of the stripped back riddim.

Mungo’s Hi Fi have been following The Hempolics for a while and were glad to get a chance to remix one of their tracks. They picked ‘Love to sing’ for it’s upfull message and joyful sound, bringing in Solo Banton for some heavyweight lyrics in the verses and giving it the Mungo’s bass treatment.
