Trapped In Kansas formed in 2008 and have been on one of the most exciting journey’s ever since. This 4-piece hailing from Scotland, Ireland and England have become one of the most talked about and critically praised bands of the past year in Scotland. Finn, Chris, Colin and Iain create mathematically intricate music that is not only thought provoking but also sonically magnificent.

Within the first day of Trapped In Kansas making their recordings public they were offered a slot at King Tuts. Since then they have not looked back and have played festivals such as goNorth, T In The Park, Rockness, headlined Oxjam and have also done live sessions for Radio 1 and Air 3. They have also supported such notable artists as Mimas, Tubelord, Pulled Apart By Horses, This Town Needs Guns, The Xcerts and Rolo Tomassi.

Following the success of last year's Evolution Unsigned, Generator and NARC. magazine are back with even bigger and better plans for 2010.

Evolution Emerging showcases the finest emerging talent from the North East in the best venues in the Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle as part of the Evolution Festival weekend.

This year's event takes place on Saturday 29th May and we're calling for bands and solo artists of any genre.
