Biography:

Inspired by many years of dedication on production and different musical influences they now stand as DJs in front of their crowd. The common musical path determined by a further project to expand - the A- Brothers were born!This dynamic duo stands for breath-taking techno-productions and live-shows. They prefer to play their remarkable DJ-Sets on four cd player and two mixers.

This talent and the exact co-ordination between these two friends make every show unforgettable. Nowadays this techno-formation belongs to the top-elite in Austria confirmed by numerous appearances in the federal states like Vienna, Salzburg, Linz, Graz only to name a few.

Beyond borders A-Brothers became famous thanks to appearances in New York, Barcelona, Berlin, Zurich, Malmo, Bratislava, Sofia, Zagreb, Rijeka, Maribor and many more. They rock the house at their shows and give proof of what makes them so musically strong and that they are achieving something great. Their hard work and creations can be heard deep through their productions on Driving Forces Recordings, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Gayle San Records, Mastertraxx, Reloading as well as their own label Hybrid Confusion. It looks like the successful musical career of the A-Brothers has already begun...

Björn Torwellen

From the moment his spaceship crashed on our little planet, Björn Torwellen was excited as well as inspired by its musical variety and looked deeply into each genre to expand his musical talent. In his youth then then discovered his fascination for electronic dance music.... Which was called "Techno", where he finally found his home. Getting more and more into it, he became a real "Techno-Punk" and started to spin records as well as first steps in producing own tracks. It became a passion. He lives Techno. His sound is dirty - His Techno is minimal.

Tribes ist Gründer und Artist der Veranstaltungsreihe „Zimmermusik“ im Club Erdbeermund in Karlsruhe. Mit seinen Sympathisanten Stefan Czech und HirsauM wurden immer wieder regionale und überregionalen, sowie Internationalen Artists gebucht.

Außerdem war Tribes seit mehr als 12Jahren als DJ und Moderator im Karlsruher Radiosender Querfunk mit der Sendung "Rush-Hour“ zu hören. Insbesondere mit den sechsstündigen Nachtsendungen, die mit regionalen und überregionalen Artists bekannt geworden ist. Darüber hinaus widmet sich Tribes seit einer geraumer Zeit auch dem Produzieren von Musik.
Als Artist und Promoter, hat er sich vor mehr als 25Jahren der elektronischen Musik verpflichtete.

Sein musikalisches Schlüsselerlebnis hatte Tribes im Jahr 1992. Denn während er davor noch der Musik des Deathmetal frönte, erkannte er in diesem Jahr mit der Veröffentlichung der Single „Out Of Space“ von Prodigy, dass diese neuartige Musik seine Lieblingsmusik werden würde.

Als ihn 1997 dann das DJ-Fieber packte und er in der Karlsruher Sonderbar seine ersten offiziellen Gehversuche wagte, bewegte er sich zunächst einmal in den Bereichen R’n’B, Black Music und Soul. Ende der Neunziger erlebte er schließlich Trance und Hard-Trance in seiner vollen Blüte, so dass Releases von Maure Picotto, Nils van Gogh, Marino Stefano und dem belgischen Bonzai-Label seinen Plattenkoffer füllten.
So war er 1999/2000 auch vermehrt in dem schönen Moonclub in Karlsruhe zu hören, in dem er seinen DJ-Stil in Anlehnung an Labels, wie Audio, Ongaku, Sway, Bush, Framework und vielen mehr in die progressive Techno Richtung weiter verfeinerte. Schnell waren Tribes Künste als DJ in dieser Zeit auch überregional in Clubs wie dem Sinus in Kandel gefragt, wo er u.a. auch mit Artists wie Thorsten Kanzler, Rob Acid und DJ Rush die Plattenteller drehte. Nach und Nach eroberte er so auch die Rhein-Neckar-Region, wo er in zahlreichen Clubs wie dem
MS Connection (MA)
Lagerhaus (MA)
Genesis (MA)
Climax (LU)
C4 - Zeitwerk (LU) 
und vielen mehr zu hören war. 

Nach einigen Jahren der Progressiven Sounds und danach wieder ein bisschen ruhigeres Tech-House und Electro von den namenhaften Labels und Künstlern wie zum Beispiel: Soma Records, Slam, Gigolo Records, DJ Hell, Miss Kittin, Elektroschemie……
Tribes Musikstil ist inzwischen wieder ein bisschen druckvoller, tiefer und in Richtung Detroit-Techno, Dark-Techno gehender Sound geworden.
