Moshic - Love Made Me Do It [BEDROCK]

The Columbian DJ, producer and musician made his debut back in 2008 with ‘Dare to Believe’ on D-Formation’s Beat Freak Recordings, and dare he did! Now signed to an enviable list of high profile imprints including Global Underground, UV and Anjunadeep he’s become one of the most consistent artists out there. Collaborations form a large part of his output; enoying the camaraderie and like-mindedness that working as a team brings to the creative process, long time partners Kamilo Sanclemente and Clubsonica boss Juan Pablo Torrez feature heavily.
Opening with a solo project, ‘Reverie’, Dabeat’s trademark sound is front and centre. Silky smooth and utterly infectious, the rolling percussive beat develops warm pads and far away arps. Dropping some spiky acid midway ups the ante. Later still, more melodics lift the mood alongside some stuttered vocals. Absolute mastery.
Next up, a collaborative effort with Kamilo that boasts latin flair in spades. Building slowly over the opening four minutes, spacey synths and a shuffling percussive underbelly combine magically. Deeply hypnotic, the groove quickly takes control and all you can do is find your space and dance the night away.
