Biography & History....

Charlie Jay has been in the music industry for twenty years as a DJ/Promoter.
His musical journey began in 1995 when first introduced by his music teacher 
MASTER SHIVERS to one sound lab belt drive turntable and one sony turntable with no pitch control.
It was in a bedroom in Camberwell, South East London where Charlie Jay formally and first known as Bigga or Bigkid learnt the art of mixing and blending Jungle music with vinyl records. 

In 1996 Charlie Jay (Bigkid) got his first break after being invited to attend Supreme 96.1 fm for a radio guest show.
The radio station managers were so impressed that they offered him a regular slot to play on the air weekly. It was here at supreme 96.1 fm that Charlie Jay (Bigkid) began to get into the House & Garage underground scene and was given opportunities to perform at some of London and the U.k's top and most famous venues and nightclubs.

Charlie Jay (Bigkid) for many years created a storm on the underground garage circuit and also teamed up with childhood friend 
M.C Billy Da Kid. 
During their time on Supreme 96.1 Fm they met a very talented young guy that went by the name of M.C Neutrino. 
The trio started doing regular radio shows together and It was in a bedroom in Acre lane, Brixton, South London that the Living Legend Crew was born.
Supreme 96.1 Fm was renowned for underground house and garage music for many years and were one of the leading pioneers of the pirate radio station world. 
Shortly after The Living Legend Crew was formed another group of guys joined Supreme 96.1 Fm.
The group now known as The So Solid Crew consisted of just four original members to start with:
DJ PDS, M.C Mega Man, M.C Romeo, M.C Mac.
They brought a fresh, vibrant new sound to the airwaves with the lyrical content that was cheeky, original and contagious.

The Living Legend Crew had a run of success touring all over the U.K nightclubs and hosting events, but things soon took a turn for the worst when one night an argument broke out within the Supreme Fm studio between members of The So Solid Crew and the Supreme Fm management.  One thing lead to another and and The So Solid Crew decided to venture out on their own with a brand new radio station. 

DELIGHT 103 FM was born.....The Living Legends was approached and asked to help build a new foundation, build a new home and an alliance with The So Solid Crew. 
Charlie Jay (Bigkid) M.C Billy Da Kid & Mc Neutrino worked hard on doing late night live radio shows in a bedroom studio in Clapham Junction until Delight 103 FM was properly up and running with a regular set of DJ's doing weekly shows on rotation.

Realising that House was his forte and a blatant disregard for the rule book Dean Chapple took his wide love for a diversely musical world and blended it to generate a chopped and chunky sound on a straight 4/4. The music he spawns crossed with a selection of his influences pushes his journey through his live sets and creates a exceptional terrain that he takes to every dance floor.

Playing in some of the world’s hottest settings right across London, different festivals and Ibiza Dean has supported some of the most recognised artists including Bontan, MK, Jackmaster, Amine Edge & Dance, Huxley, Darius Syrossion & Steve Lawler, these are also the names behind his influences.

His varied music backgrounds from Hip-Hop to dance has helped develop every idea and each track he writes, forwarded through his numerous record signings over the years which span across Europe through to Canada helping integrate his name into many record bags across the globe.

Gaining DJ support on his productions from the likes of  Danny Tenaglia, Marco Carola, Cristian Varela, Steve Lawler, Ivan Pica and Sam Divine eliminates looking back, this road is endless and he plans to take ever step.
