Afrotango is the new release by the Apulian DJ/producer MastroMauro, out on December 6th on the kluBasic records label, created from an inspiration he had after listening to the live orchestral performance of a work by Maestro Vincenzo Mastropirro, written in 1992 and which became a hymn to joy in the concerts of the students of the historic Monterisi school orchestra of Bisceglie (Puglia – Italy) of which he was conductor. 
The title of the original work is Astortango with which the Maestro paid homage to a name well known to the general public, Piazzolla. 
MastroMauro, with his creation entitled Afrotango, wants to bring this inspiration to the dancefloor after a true story of intense passion and vitality for a love lived. 
Afrotango is represented by Afro/Latin/Brazilian sounds and a "beat" oriented to two of the most popular musical cultures in the world, namely the incessant rhythm of African drums together with the disturbing rhythm of the Argentine tango, bringing history itself to its best in music.

Bengoa is a Greek DJ, musician, producer and songwriter based in Athens and Mykonos, Greece.

With influences rooted in ambient, techno, house, hip hop and trip hop, he’s built a unique but flexible style for himself over the years.

Let’s Try Again puts those iconic 808 drums upfront and adds in some floating chord stabs to create a timeless take on deep house.

With the En Route EP on Sublease, Bengoa treats us to scenes from the summer in Mykonos - where each of these tracks were recorded. With an original 808 on hand, the beats are tinged with some retro vibes and baked in the Aegean sunshine.

Lastly, Bodytalk features Brothers’ Vibe with a co-production credit. Tony Rodriguez aka Brothers’ Vibe - a legend of US house music - adds a distinct 80’s / 90’s take on Bengoa’s vibe, resulting in an absolute secret weapon in the right hands.

The Dompe remix is deeper still, yet brings in a touch of jacking drums, creating the after dark counterpoint to the original.

Sublease is back with three tracks from three relatively new talents, each with their own take on deep, groove-laden house music. 

TERANA kicks things off with Connection, a vibrant deep house track that reflects TERANA’s mission to spread love through music. Rooted in her identity as a producer and vocalist, the track features her own vocals intertwined with driving grooves, hypnotic harmonies and bouncy progressions. 

TERANA was a part of the mixmasters retreat with label boss Steve Bug, along with the Swiss beatmaker Marco Weber who takes up the third track on this release - Stubborn Trip. Created in Ibiza, this track brings a deep, groovy low end and bright, flickering synth stabs, before developing into an expansive and electrifying vibe. 

Wrapping it up is Doomar with a sparkling low slung roller with squelchy synths and an engaging vocal sample.
