We live in unprecedented times. People increasingly turn to the occult, to strongmen, to religion, to anything that offers an "answer". These institutions weaponize fear. Fear of the other, of economic failure, of societal regression, of social dominance.

This record is as much an outlet for that frustration as it is the reverberations of history. Ancient societies sought wisdom from priestesses and oracles. In the face of war and disease, they turned away from science and towards the occult. When they embraced fear, people suffered while the elites consolidated their power. Fear may have failed us, but it doesn't have to define us.
