Minder - BRITS BOOTS clip [Club Paint V.5]

After a couple of 4/4 releases, W133 finally returns to breakier, bassier territory — and presents its very first collaboration EP, entitled „Unifying Theme“. The two Berlin-based artists Prieste5s and Insomniast, who initially connected through the label and have both already blessed W133 with solo material, now team up and deliver something truly special. Their styles complement one another effortlessly, merging into a distinctive and interesting sound.
The EP kicks off with „Icons“ — a deep and heavy roller that blends pounding toms, fast-paced rhythms, and an eerie mystic energy. Things stay moody with „Last Things First“, where a rumbling bassline underpins distorted vocal chops that echo through the void.
„Surge“ continues in a similar spirit, upping the energy with crisp, high-frequency percs and swirling FX, before we flip to a slightly lighter note on „Tempest“. This one’s a bit more playful with multiple percussions, still driving but with a twinkle in its eye.
Closing out the EP is „This is not the End“, a slightly faster and certainly the most mischievous track of the release — high-pitched, water-meets-metal sounds and a juke-inspired rhythm make this one bounce with pure energy.
We sure hope the title of the last track isn’t lying, because we’re already excited for more output from this newly found duo.

We met Leese at Listen Festival in Brussels. We were already playing her tunes on YUKU for some time, but it was her Live show that really throw us off our seats. We went to giver props after the show and our vibes just clicked. “—Hey, we saw your gig, and it was amazing! We danced our legs of!”, we said. “—Yeah! I saw you!”, she said with a smile. That’s all it takes.

Leese is a Brussels-based producer and DJ who’s been getting buzz for her sound - rooted in Bass Music and pulling percussive influences from breakbeat and tribal.

Operating within the thriving scene around his current base Naarm, Anne brings a live, jammed-out focus to machine-rooted electronic performance that translates into his productions. All four tracks on this new EP crackle with improvised energy, whether it manifests in the dramatic synth shapes on 'Last Peoples' or tangled up in the beat exploration on 'Visible'. On Meltdown, Carré  ( @carreo ) mines closer to the dub core of her sound than ever before. The title track signals the intent, a memorable hook cascading into melodic view before the lurched momentum locks in to its sweeping bassline for pure dancefloor symbiosis. Crawler goes wider, a giddy stepper that’s dynamic swing twirls excitedly on a 2 step pivot until dissolving into a plummeting stomp for ignition. Season Seven sharpens up with a seductive pout-lip, moving loose and free across the stretchy wobbles, peppered vocals and sunrise-addled serenity. On remix duties, a pioneer and modern hero apply their inimitable touch. PREMIERE: Carré - Crawler [Woozy]

Japanese explorer of the deep Dayzero is next up on Nerve Collect with his Step Inna EP, which brings six tracks of meticulously crafted post-dubstep rhythm and bass. 

Tokyo-based Dayzero has long been providing a link between the Far East and the UK underground. His futuristic sounds rewire dubstep, techno, breaks and bass with psychedelic colours and spaced out moods on leading labels like Livity Sound and ZamZam. He has a new album on the way this year, but first comes this latest intersection of body-driven, mind-expanding sounds.  

'Revival' is engineered for full-body movement. It's intelligent, instinctive and just a bit unhinged as watery droplets and a frazzled lead warp space and time while mangled bass drills down deep. 'Step Inna' skanks through a dystopian dreamscape with chanting dub vocals. They echo like encrypted mantras as calculated bass patterns ground the groove, percussive hits launch you skyward and then collapse inward. 'Antibody' has spring-loaded bass that rebounds under rogue circuitry while the rhythm stutters in broken, syncopated spasms below a smattering of wobbly toms.

'Remains' is highly pressured and kinetic, a thudding rhythm with overdriven tribal percussion pining you to the 'floor. 'Alignment' is a tectonic transmission sent back from tomorrow—mechanical yet organic, the bassline rumbles with subatomic weight beneath ghostly pads and static-charged synth lines. 'Gravity Phrase' is where ancient rag	a meets future bass culture. Stringy Indian melodies linger in the shuffling dub rhythms and wordless vocals drift like vapour trails in a soundscape where mysticism and machinery collide. 

This is an EP of precision-guided portals to the outer edges of bass music.
