This special musical journey was created as a full-circle meditation & movement practice. It holds space for moments of relaxation and contemplation while also catering to the inner desire to let loose, shake your booty and connect to the earth. This auditory journey was handcrafted for an intimate annual A.W.A. event nestled deep in the woods of the Canadian heartland. I hope it brings forth the powerful energy of the triple goddess with love, vitality and deep reverence for the sounds of the world around us.

Hongowo

The music of Bansara ranges from global psychedelic downtempo beats to meditative ambient soundscapes. Featuring multi-instrumentalist Josh Geisler playing bansuri and Native American flutes, didgeridoo, guitar, percussion, and electronics, Bansara conveys a triune message of harmonizing ancient wisdom with modern technology, cross-cultural respect and collaboration, and the protection of nature. A strong undercurrent in the music is a love for the natural world and its diverse sonic environments. Many sounds began life as sticks, stones, birds, waterfalls, geysers, etc. recorded during nature hikes in exotic locations, then processed in Ableton Live. 

Josh Geisler was the bandleader of Cirque du Soleil's "TOTEM", with whom he toured for 9 years, performing over 2650 shows around the globe. His pedigree also includes extensive studies in India with Bansuri legend Pandit Raghunath Seth and Sarod Maestro Pandit Vikash Maharaj, years of freelance gigs with a wide variety of artists in Brooklyn, as well as a degree in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music.
