Drumloop - Target For Me

“D&D” is the product of Dreeks’ colourful production and VHS MIDNIGHT STYLE’s abstract songwriting. The release expands on their first collaborative work “#3cc33c” from VHS’ 2023 album caiman and is closed out by two remixes from bp iv and Aasev.

Over the course of six tracks VHS MIDNIGHT STYLES' voice floats above, playfully beckoning you to fall higher and higher. His airy vocals belying a vulnerability and softness, the same voice that brags ‘if I want it, then I’ll get it’ asks ‘is it fair for me to show you my song?’. Words melt into and bubble out of Dreeks’ polychromatic instrumentals hydro dipped in hyperpop, bubblegum and trance. Cheekily evading easy categorisation while creating loose pockets for VHS’ meandering.

Dreeks is a British-Cypriot electronic artist who has released three studio albums and works as a mixing and mastering engineer. VHS MIDNIGHT STYLE is a Manchester-based rapper and producer, self-releasing prolifically for almost ten years.
