Souleance return with a brand new EP for First Word Records. Following the huge success of 'La Beat Tape' in early 2013, the French duo have been busy in the studio preparing a 6-tracker aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Souleance is the result of the partnership between producer Fulgeance (check his new LP 'Cubes') and DJ Soulist of legendary Paris event What The Funk. In 2008 they released their debut EP 'Le Monde' which along with follow up 'Le Plaisir' is one of First Word's all-time bestsellers. 2012 saw their debut LP 'La Belle Vie' released to widespread critical acclaim, winning them fans including Gilles Peterson, Lefto and Laurent Garnier. With an eye-catching live show now up and running (check their recent charismatic appearance on Boiler Room for evidence) Souleance are going from strength to strength.
The new EP is exactly what you'd expect from Souleance, taking in 80s influenced electro (Brotha, Broobecker & Vacances), audacious sample flips (Georgian Kiss), infectious-grooved hip hop (Mais Um) and up-tempo tropical beats (Tropicalidad). All six tracks are guaranteed club winners that only Souleance could deliver.

Premiere: Julien Piacentino & Phillip Pioge - Harmonics (Original Mix) [Be Free]

A top five tracker from Black 8, the talented Egyptian producer arrives on Sudbeat and oozes of class.
The title track is a sophisticated fairly housey affair, with emotions pouring from its every part, with acoustic guitars and sampled choral vocals meeting warm pads and more, all melting wonderfully into a beautiful warm soundscape of the highest order.
'TNT' takes things a little tougher and darker, as melodics sprinkle over shuffling edged beats, while acidic noises ping around.
'Rising Tide' is a mysterious slab of goodness. As dark meets light, with big phat synths and gnarly tinged sounds meeting luscious pads, while all along teased by long drops and a great groove.
'Once Upon a Time' is a smile inducing piece of electronica, wrapped up in a blanket of dreaminess. We don't need to say any more really.
Closing things up nicely, we have the club mix of 'Once Upon a Time' , and using the elements from the original and adding gated synths and a deep bassline, turns in to a dance floor moment.

Im vergangenen Jahr kam die erste Compilation vom Label @heinzmusic-berlin raus und wurde damals von @marcus-meinhardt zusammengestellt. Nun, ein Jahr später, folgt die zweite: „4 Jahre Heinz Music“. Sie ist ein Dankeschön an alle Freunde, Fans und Künstler, die das Label seit all den Jahre unterstützen und supporten. „Wie könnte man also schöner einen Geburtstag feiern als mit viel guter Musik“, fragt @dimo_kyrmanidis_artist, der die Kollektion zusammengetragen hat. 16 Tracks, unter anderem eine Nummer von @sascha-cawa, hat der gebürtige Hamburger und heute in Berlin lebende DJ rausgesucht und zu einem Gesamtkunstwerk gemixed. Después de despertar del profundo sueño que el soñador ignora. 

Se derraman las hermosas melodías que de las entrañas brotan, 
que se identifican con las raíces caladas en las tierras de donde un día floreció mi existencia. 

Reactivando memorias , emociones , lecciones que desde la infancia suprimidas yacían en silencio , recuperando así mi ser, mi sonido , mi nombre . 

Chibcha, el ritmo constante que resuena en cada palpitar de este templo , que conecta con la infancia y los caminos recorridos a lo largo de la experiencia humana que llamo vida , camino largo ,escabroso , de terrenos rocosos , agitados, llenos de emoción y vida. 

Un homenaje a los viejos sonidos y viejos maestros , a los amigos , los compañeros , a los que hoy no están , y los que aun no han llegado.. a los que a través del tiempo creen , crean , crían manteniendo costumbres, danzas , ritmos, que respetan la madre tierra , que aman su mas profunda pureza y se mantiene fuertes ante cualquier amenaza.

On the banks of the cold lagoon, the spicy sun and the majestic immensity, happy about this discovery, under the pressure that the height exerted on my fragile but well-adventurous body, surrounded by ancestral lands that revealed before me: my own essence. 

After years of forcing myself to adopt a reality to which I did not belong, submerged in artificial visions, projected from the outer eye of ignorance. 

I awoke from the deep dream that the dreamer ignores. The beautiful melodies that flow from the gut, which relate to the roots of the lands where one day my life flourished. 

Reactivating memories, emotions, lessons that were suppressed ever since childhood, lay in silence, thus recovering my being, my sound, my name. 

Chibcha, the constant rhythm that resonates in every heartbeat of this temple, which connects to the paths traveled along the human experience that I call life, long, rugged, rocky terrain, hectic, full of emotions… 

A tribute to the old sounds and old masters, to the friends, the companions, to those who are no longer here, and to those who have not yet arrived ... to those who, through time, believe, create, keep traditions alive, dances, rhythms, which respect mother earth and its deepest purity and remain strong in the face of any threat.

A circle is endless. 
There is no beginning and no defined end. And whilst there has been a beginning for Jannowitz Records, there is no foreseeable end whatsoever. That is why the Circle compilation could not fit better to the current situation of the Cologne based label. For this particular Compilation. Jannowitz main freaks BOHO selected artists and some banger tracks to celebrate the staircase to heaven that we are climbing at this very moment. 
But let us talk you through Circle EP. Whatever kind of electronic underground music you like, you will find it here. There are chilled and laid back tracks like “Alternated” by SokooL. The Katermukke artists stays true to himself and produced a track that requires closed eyes and focus on all the little bits and details “Alternated" contains. But then there is also “Onyx” by Floreano and René Cos, that is also chill with clicking sounds that will send you to the land of dreams and mysteries. James Mac & Vall (“Toi Et Moi”) worked together with singer Julienne and made a track that is driven by deep synth grooves and - of course - the very sexy vocals. Other artists like Heinrich Heine head rather towards Mars or Jupiter with transcending synthies. The Hamburg based duo created the contemporary track “Shapeshift” that is much harder than some of the other Circle tracks but still manages to reach that unearthly level of production. Talking abut contemporary: Jannowitz Records favourite Oliver Deuering (“Five Days”) contributes a contemporary atmospheric but at the same time forward stomping track that seems to reinterpret everything you've heard over the past few years regarding techno and house music. 
Another genre reinterpretation is offered by Daven Teers. His track “Palais” is led by a progressive acid theme that is not only state of the art right now but also sound like nothing you have ever heard before. Less progressive but rather minimal is the amazing house tool “La Pachanga” by Vazik who is an old face in the label's catalogue. Together with BOHO and Paul Feris he released “Vice Versa” last year that was an immediate hit back then. But back to Circle: US underground DJ Eric Louis from New York contributes even two tracks (“West Side Highway” and “Doorway To The Days”) that contain exciting build ups, distorted patterns and hi-hats that give both tracks a dark and evil touch. The harder side of Circle compilation is also shown by JOREK (“Get One Chance”) or Pure Ibiza Radio legend Frankye Love together with Stephan Seddel (“Redux”). The last brain squeezer is produced by KRBO, a recent Jannowitz discovery whose track “Mermaid Song” was immediately selected by BOHO. Just like the rest of the whole Compilation - it just fits the label perfectly. Whether thats minimal, house, techno, acid - if it has that particular production value and makes you dance, it's Jannowitz Records worthy.
