This EP is about remembering the past whilst embracing the future. Holding on and letting go. Moving forward but taking something with you. 
When I was asked to contribute an EP to the newly resurrected Bar25 Music label, I was overwhelmed by memories of a place which once dominated my life in Berlin. Friendships which have lasted to this day, and others which turned to dust, slipping through time's fingers. Love which turned sour, love that is still maturing. Adventures I'll never forget, others I struggle to recall. 
These experiences from the past often feel so detached they could belong to someone else, a character from a book or a dream maybe, but they were ours, and they make us, become absorbed into our DNA, and drive our evolution. 
These tracks reminded me of those days and that process of understanding your place in the flow of time. Past, present and future combined into one moment; our own reality. 
Rear View was based on an old jam I used to play at Bar25, which I never finished or released at the time. Remember Tomorrow was a track I made some years later with that tiny wooden dance floor and less-than-overpowering sound system in mind. Joyful Noise is a brand new creation which seeks to express the complexity of emotions. Salmon's Song began as collaboration with a friend from Tokyo, Salmon, who sadly passed away 5 years ago, before I had a chance to play him what I had done. The track was gathering dust but has found a place to breathe again with this EP.“

LIVE Series: ALMO - "Allotofan" @ Rambalkoshe [Yerevan, Armenia]

Dimensions is a compilation series focused on bringing together unique artists and select tracks, which resonate with each other beyond just the sound of the music. It is a platform to create forward thinking releases on which artists in the XYZ family, and newcomers with shared values, come together to write their chapter of a collective story.

The second installment of the Dimensions welcomes a set of diverse characters into the XYZ fold. The trio of groove-laden tracks nudges the listener towards the darker and colder months ahead, yet retains a warm fall aura as well. Progressive arrangements with hearty basslines and melodic flair are key pillars of the release, with both stalwarts of the scene and up-and-comers sharing their prowess for dancefloor-oriented material.

Leading the Dimensions charge is a crucial figure in the journey of the deep and progressive scene. Pablo Bolivar has been at the forefront of the dance music for over 20 years, with a distinguished melodic, hypnotic, and intriguing brand of production. XYZ fans will be familiar with previous appearance on the label - his pristine remix of Budakid’s Senlin. We couldn’t be happier to have the Spaniard back, this time in the company of American duo Emanate. Bolivar and Emanate have created a rich working relationship, and return for their second collaboration in the form of Alchemize. A delicate kick through the intro gives way to a haunting bassline, culminating in a mellow groover with various melodic entracements. Alchemize perfectly sets the mood for Dimensions II, with its soft and tactile qualities leaving the listener primed for the journey.
