SCSI-9 — Tierra Del Fuego (Asaga Remix)

Given it's not so long since my last remix of the German duo Microtrauma, you might think it's odd that I've done it again? Well, I wasn't planning on doing this mix, but when I heard the original track with that amazing, simple but effective arpeggiated riff I realised I had to do the mix! It's always easy when you have such a strong starting point, I just added some of my own flavour of beats and glitches and pads, and structurally I went for a live feel, playing in most of the parts and modulation as I went along - It yields a slightly messy, but natural feel I hope. And I added a second set of kick drums in the off kick position, so at points the real kick drops out and it sounds like everything has shifted half a beat....just for the craic.

Featuring stunning vocals by Nick Maurer, this is a very special and unusual construction of different layers and trippy sounds. The mysterious Baikal rises the Trip-level and dynamics. His name obviously comes from the world 's deepest lake, his interpretation is multi-layered music for the heart, mind and feet. Preferably all at the same time. Adriatique is on fire and brings the perfect balance into the package with their signature catchy way of highlighting the main elements and vocal lines of the original. Combined with a wobbling bassline and epic melodies this is the sound we want to hear this summer!
