Dutch DJ/producer Maddix is known for his techno sound, inspired by the old school rave scene and infused with trance.

Starting producing his new core sound in 2018 with the first release Ecstasy in 2019, he continuously refreshed the landscape with hard techno kicks, '90s sounds, and acid. He organically evolved his sound even more towards techno and trance. Most importantly, Maddix brought the rave back to the club and festival crowds.

After Maddix' hit singles Heute Nacht and My Gasoline, his audience has grown into a truly global collective. His growth has led to appearances at major festivals and mainstages such as Ultra Music Festival, EDC Las Vegas, Dreamstate, Tomorrowland, and headlining tours and club shows around the world.

Maddix’s brand new record label Extatic (XTTC) was launched in 2023. Alongside achieving 500 million+ streams, reaching 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, multiple #1 spots on Beatport, the DJMag Top 100 DJ list entry in 2023 marked a major milestone and collabs with Armin van Buuren, John Summit, Oliver Heldens/HI-LO, Hardwell, Umek, Space92, we can say Maddix has created a movement that is changing the electronic dance music scene.

In 2025, Maddix will have his own summer residency at Amnesia Ibiza with his Extatic events. Maddix has already hosted multiple sold-out all-day raves, where he played b2b sets with various artists in Amsterdam and Miami, such as Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Lilly Palmer, Oliver Heldens, Fatima Hajji, Space92, Hannah Laing, and Will Atkinson, to name a few. Maddix continues to push the boundaries of his collaborative shows, he played face to face with Armin van Buuren at A State of Trance, and at Ultra Miami, he performed his first B3B set with Armin van Buuren and Oliver Heldens. His music and passion are breaking through genres, and Maddix will continue to push his limits globally.

I discovered DJing when I was 8. From the start, I was guided by Mademoiselle Luna 💫. I shared a special moment with Bob Sinclar, then joined Lost Frequencies on stage for my very first concert: Contact on Stage, a 100% electro festival by Radio Contact.

I was later selected for the Tomorrowland DJ Academy — that’s when everything took off. Cameras, festivals, amazing encounters and artist support… 🚀

Today, I perform in Belgium and France, with 100% live electro sets, fully prepared with passion.
In 2025, at just 14, Tomorrowland officially added me to the line-up, and I had the chance to make the Rise Stage vibrate — a stage dedicated to upcoming talent ✨

To listen to Billy Gillies is to capture true joy, because every song he produces and DJ set he performs radiates pure passion and vibrant spirit.

 

The Northern Irishman’s blend of quirky Eurodance synths, uplifting trance grandeur and hard-hitting bass rhythms goes beyond catchy melodies and expert timing, as breakout hits “Lagoon” and “Youth” tap into the very essence of what makes a night spent on the dancefloor with your best mates such a special experience.

 

That’s why he’s earned more than 145 million views on TikTok, filled a Creamfields tent with thousands of ravers at 1 p.m. on a Sunday, and why he’s managed to get an official remix of Madison Avenue’s 1999 hit “Don’t Call Me Baby” after ripping the iconic vocal off the internet.

 

Crowds chant his name from Taiwan to Texas because Billy Gillies dares to do something different; something unique to himself. Now, Billy Gillies is the next superstar-DJ-in-the-making, poised to take over the world.

 

Billy’s musical obsession started in the 2000s when his older sister started buying Clubland compilation CDs and dating a local DJ. One night, the boyfriend came over and brought his decks, but when the couple left to go dancing, 11-year-old Billy snuck into his sister’s room and started playing with the turntables.

 

“I was like, ‘what is this music? I love this,’” he laughs. “On the Christmas list for that year was a set of decks.”

 

His mom delivered with his first set of Kam belt drives, and Billy’s been mad for mixing ever since. Each Saturday, he’d head out of the house with a five Pound note and spend it on a new record (Tiesto’s Traffic being particularly influential). In turn, he’d spend the next week learning to mix that record in and out of his steadily growing collection.

 

When he was 17, he got his first taste of true Clubland. A year underaged, he caught an hour-long bus from Belfast to Banbridge and talked his way into a club called Coach. Japanese DJ Yoji Biomehanika and the UK’s own Lisa Lashes dropped heavy hard-house records all night, and Billy started dreaming of his own chance to rock a crowd, proper.

 

He knew that if he wanted to be an in-demand DJ, he’d have to come up with some original songs. In 2011, he locked himself in his bedroom with a copy of Ableton Live and didn’t come out until he’d mastered the basic trance sound.

 

He fell in love with music production and started sending his tracks to BBC Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules, who played them on his show every Friday night. For 19-year-old Billy, there was nothing better.

 

After spending much of his 20s as a self-described “party animal,” 28-year-old Billy once again locked himself inside his bedroom and churned out a ton of original tunes. The result? A spot on the lineup of Luminosity 2019 alongside major trance legends Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery and more. He played a set of all-original material, and when a recording was posted to Soundcloud, it earned more plays than any of the headliners.

 

“I’d brung a fresh sound into the trance scene,” Gillies says. “Everyone was making the same type of thing, where I just look back at my influences growing up and crammed it into the main trance style.”

 

International booking requests flooded in, sending him to Argentina to Australia—and then COVID struck. Many of his peers saw no point releasing music to a locked-down crowd, but Billy saw a chance to experiment.

 

“People need music in hard times, not just for clubs,” he says. “The music I was making around that time was proper emotional melodies, and it was resonating with everyone.”

 

He’d share each tune in a rough clip to Facebook or TikTok, and every post brought shares in the thousands. His fan base wasn’t just growing, it was ballooning, due in part not only to his masterful skills in the studio but also his effervescent personality that spills into each tune.

In December 2021 Armin Van Buuren annunced "Andrea Ribeca - Tuscia Est his my personal favorite track of 2021” Born in Viterbo on 1974 his first music experience starts in 1990 with the turntables and vinyls, subsequently in 1992 was released the first Techno production. Andrea developed his experience in various Italian clubs plaiyngTechno and Trance music, until 1999, when he meets Giuseppe Ottaviani whith whom he starts the NU NRG project managed by Paul Van Dyk's label Vandit Records. Their outstanding Trance melodies become track considered now classics in Trance music genere. In 2005 the duo disbanded to focus on solo careers

@OliverHeldens’ HI-LO alias is reserved for his deepest and darkest records. His 2020 tracks ‘Zeus’ & ‘Kronos’, landed in the top 10 of the most supported Techno tracks on 1001tracklists in 2020, which was a contributing factor to Oliver being awarded the coveted spot as the #1 most supported producer platform wide. His releases inspired by the Greek Gods, like ‘Poseidon’, ‘Athena’, ‘Hades’ and more recently ‘Saw of Olympus’ and the ‘Balearic Mornings’ EP with Dutch techno giant Reinier Zonneveld on Filth on Acid, garnered millions of streams and support from all across the Techno scene and beyond, contributing to HI-LO’s #6 best selling Techno spot of the last year on Beatport. With no signs of slowing down in 2021, HI-LO’s delivered a massive remix for Nina Kraviz’ ‘Skyscrapers’ and his debut EP on Drumcode ‘Hypnos’ which includes the title track plus the dance floor stomper ‘Hera’ that seen further support from the likes of Adam Beyer himself, Dubfire, Joseph Capriati, Pan-Pot, Robert Hood, ANNA, Joris Voorn, Nicole Moudaber, Sam Paganini and many more, proving HI-LO is here to stay as a Techno mainstay for the long haul!

Alessandra's first contact with Trance came on 1995 through Robert Miles' Children" and since then she is interested in this genre as well through her earlier inspirations such as Tiesto and Armin van Buuren.
