La Portenya DJ & Guest musician represents the cosmopolitan richness of Barcelona. Just in between a DJ session and a musician jam, La Portenya DJ found the perfect sidekicks to make the audience dance and travel through the electro afro-indigenous beats.

La Portenya DJ & Guest musician is a new project launched in the Jamboree Dance Club as part of Latineo concerts at the Mas i Mas Festival. It has also been performed in the Poblenou Open Night at the BAU and at the Premiere of Leche de Tigre.

I played this set for the outdoor ProjectUmbra  event. In this mix, I take you on a rollercoaster of melodies and beats from different genres. The original "Who", performed by Odyssey, a pseudonym of Vangelis, is that gem that you've always wished you had as a record and that you're waiting, just waiting, to remix.

This is precisely the story of this release, one of the most anticipated singles of the producer duo Alt Om & UFe. When Vlad (Alt Om) came to Robert (UFe) and they both listened to the track it was love at first sight! For UFe, that is, because Alt Om had the track for a long time on his wishlist, until he was able to find a decent copy of the 7 inch released back in '74.

They got to work right away and it wasn't long until the raw mix came out. That's when I fell in love with it. The remix simply speaks to me, makes me wanna dance, I can hear it on the beach, I can hear it in the club. It's just perfect.

The more-techno-oriented "Deep Fish Remix" suites the club scene and is intended for heavy use by DJs.
