Balanescu Quartet is an avant-garde string quartet founded in 1987 by Alexander Balanescu that achieved fame through the release of several complex re-interpretations of songs by Kraftwerk and collaborations with Michael Nyman, David Byrne and Goldfrapp amongs others.

This album brings together compositions created at different moments in the composer’s life, now gathered into a single musical journey. Each piece reflects an inner season, a memory, or a personal transition, offering a path through emotions, places, and different periods of time.

The style blends neo-classical, ambient, and cinematic elements, with an intimate and contemplative musical language. The tracks alternate between nostalgia and light, memory and movement, flowing as a continuous narrative that guides the listener through a story that is both personal and universal.
