Inductees S0MBRA and residence link up on Unbeyond Anthologies to release one of the most cutting-edge dubstep EPs of the year in the form of “Seekers”.

With surreal, sparse production sharpened to perfection, this release is an entirely unique approach to bass music. “Seek” is a defining example of these two producers’ styles working in tandem, S0MBRA’s atmospheres and flows meshing with the glitchy, unsettling textures brought by residence. “Hunter” features a rattling bassline and haunting organ melody, tied together by the jittery shuffle of the percussion. Closer “Find” sees the duo end things on a melodic note, underpinned by sinuous, acidic sound design and vibrant strings.

"Seekers was made entirely within 3 days on our summer trip to a rural mountain town. Grey skies, dramatic views, and unfulfilled plans set the scene for this unplanned collaboration.” said S0MBRA. “This EP is a fusion of our differing approaches to dubstep. Its creation pushed us both into uncomfortable territory. The result is intricate yet unpredictable."

thoughts break down into grains and splinters
like meanders erode in the winter
a cause for concern if it reaches within
and who'd be the one worrying if i'll live?
my appearance is all i can shed if it brings you peace
but if it all comes to a head
guess it's best that i'm left on my own
i can tackle all my vices and pretend this is home

light at the bottom of the river, i'll let the currents
drag me down to the deep where it's simpler
putting distance between us feels like
a task just out of reach
but maybe the normal is right in front of my eyes. and i’ll just
shift the goalposts a little more to the right

sand down all the corners leave the edges exposed
i would lose either way, skipping scenes that i’m chained to
making bruises and tears my escape route

the coherence is all i can bear if i grit my teeth
so if it all comes to a head
