‘Ha Ha Haf’ yw sengl gyntaf Omaloma, cân hafaidd a seciadelig a fydd yn cael ei rhyddhau gan Recordiau Cae Gwyn ar 15/04/2016 (Sengl Ddigidol).

Prosiect newydd George Amor o Benmachno yw Omaloma. Ynghyd â chwarae’r gitar bas i Palenco, mae George yn un o sylfaenwyr Sen Segur, band seicadelig o Benmachno.

Cafodd y sengl ei recordio gan Llyr Pari yn Stiwdio Glanllyn, Melin y Coed, Dyffryn Conwy. Mae George yn chwarae’r piano ac yn canu ar y trac, wrth i Llyr gyfrannu â’r drymiau, gitar a gitar bas.  Geraint Jones o Ninja Sound wnaeth y gwaith mastro ar gyfer y gân.

Mae Omaloma hefyd wedi recordio sesiwn stiwdio i raglen C2 Georgia Ruth ar BBC Radio Cymru, ynghyd â chyfrannu’r trac ‘Lutra’ i albwm amlgyfrannog ddiweddar Recordiau Cae Gwyn, sef Swooshed.

Mae band byw Omaloma yn cynnwys Daf Owain (gitar bas), Gruff ab Arwel (gitar ac allweddellau), Llyr Pari (drymiau) a George yn chwarae’r allweddellau ac yn canu.

The summery psychedelic ‘Ha Ha Haf’ (English – ‘Ha Ha Summer’) is Omaloma’s debut single, released on Cae Gwyn Records on 15/04/2016 (download single).

Omaloma is the new project of Penmachno’s George Amor.  As well as playing bass for Palenco, George is also a founder member of Penmachno psyche band Sen Segur.  

The single was recorded by Llyr Pari at Glan Llyn studio, Melin Y Coed, Dyffryn Conwy.  George plays piano and sings on the track, whilst Llyr contributed drums, guitar and bass. Mastered by Geraint Jones @ Ninja Sound.  

Omaloma has also recorded a studio session for Georgia Ruth’s C2 BBC Radio Cymru program, as well as contributing a track (‘Lutra’) to the recent Cae Gwyn Records compilation album, ‘Swooshed’.

The Omaloma live line up consists of Daf Owain (bass), Gruff ab Arwel (guitar and keyboards), Llyr Pari (drums), with George on keyboards and vocals.

OMALOMA - Ha Ha Haf

This song is called "Space". Space is a little encouragement to the comprehension of oneself, and invite to take a journey into internal search of meaning, freedom and understanding. This is a definite introspection, along with an attempt to compare the inner world of a self (my own) with a space around and cosmos (universe). 
The chorus sings: "That Space is so strange. That Space is so frightening, and one day you should find courage to meet with your Space."

As the seasonal change begins to actually relish in some form of less melt-worthy weather, we meander into the season of Pumpkins, Horror, and Pumpkin Spiced Horror.... So with that in mind, I am adjusting the production schedule accordingly to have a double dip for the month, this lovely morsel to hold us over until I can try to cobble together a witches stout of a Hot Melting Face for All Hallows Eve... but what about the now?

So the now begins with a glorious bit of flamenco fire courtesy of the old homey Grizzly, moving onto a funky break from Kutiman, then one of my favorite pieces from NyxFears, the last throws of Summer's best as passed along by People Under the Stairs, a meandering bumper from Monster Rally before going way back in time with Tone Tank, transitioning into a super run away from The Kingargoolas, a Viking Youth state of the union, a questionable transition from Marlowe (L'Orange and Solemn Brigham) and finally a safe wormhole to escape through provided by WRAY.....

Your curator is happy to have this bad boy up at the beginning of the month again, all the better to start stacking things for a end of the month deadline.... Well, as long as my typewriter doesn't bug out, I should be fine.... A personal thanks to Christiaan Tonnis for the artwork for this one, and as always... melt and enjoy!

With that shenanigan aside, welcome to the September edition of Hot Melting Face, and in anticipation of my Wu Day (achieving my 36th Chamber) I decided to be lazy and let the labor of love out on Labor Day instead of beating the usual punch... A solid simmer of a mix leading into a descent away from the direct sunlight and into a slow swelter into the new ATL winter... Let's get to the recipe, shall we?

So first we crack the skulls of those who needed a chairshot opening from nahncenz. as we then settle on the primary passcodes of a stellar joint that is Obeah x Day Tripper x Tvpes, we then get twangy with some Intóxicos, then watch the world burn with People Under the Stairs, play out a classic thought experiment with Yugen Blakrok, proceeded by Yamantaka // Sonic Titan and some glorious Noh Wave, hit a few waves with The Mystery Men?, then drop the summer jam of 2019 from Allen Thomas (get that shit, like right the fuck now) and then close out with a quick Wrist Radio jammer from The Astroglides...

Uncertain how the final mixes of the 2019 season are going to play out, but I think as the swelter diminshes and the effects of our melted faces congealing in the cooler weather begin to bring their own horrors... we shall persevere in the face of heat severe with no fear and hopefully a beer.... Melt accordingly, mein amigos...
