Cools Records is a lifestyle fuelled by a drug we call music. 

The last three years has seen us been inspired by an array of artists, genres and sounds as we’ve penned the Barney Cools narrative. From perching ourselves poolside to the melodies of Sticky Fingers and Fat Freddy’s Drop to closing some of our wildest nights with vintage electronic anthems from Armand Van Helden and Fatboy Slim, it’s safe to safe we’ve developed quite an appetite for music that makes us feel fulfilled.

Whilst genres such as indie-rock and relaxed reggae undeniably pack an abundance of heat, there’s truly nothing that intoxicates us more than the sound of the disco beat. Hence why we’ve secured the services of none other than the German master of funky disco and house, Purple Disco Machine, to do the honours of introducing undoubtedly our friskiest mixtape series to date.

Fresh from the release of his debut album Soulmatic, expect nothing less than a revolving platter of pleasure-inducing records from one of Nu Disco’s most in-form producers and provider of good times. It’s about time we rekindled for a dance – plug in and get toe-tapping.
