Im a Bristol based musician who has been writing songs for many a moon. Evevntually i will showcase a few projects i have been involved in, especially ones formed in the wonderful Briz....... There are some of my own tunes written and played by myself and recorded in my bedroom and also some great collaborations..... like with great lyricist Dan Robertson (trouble shooter) and Duncan Shaw (guitar) with the world funk project........I will also post some tunes from other collabrations such as Fuzia and Troyka........ A duo, sometime trio, playing sounds and rhythms from across the Balkans, all the way to the Middle East. With soaring clarinet melodies and fast syncopated guitar and percussion, they play a stormy mixture of traditional and original songs which will take you on a journey to far away lands...... Troyka formed in Bristol in 2008 and have been bringing Balkan Heart Music to Bristol ever since. Still going strong in 2025, they recently recorded music for Surviving Earth - a feature film by Thea Gajic about her dad, and Troyka founder Vladimir Gajic, who passed away in 2015. 

Troyka now play in various formations including Troyka Mala, their contemporary post classical trio which indulges their love of intricate three-part chamber style arrangements. Mala showcases a selection of soulful Balkan, Eastern European and Middle Eastern music, alongside an expanding collection of Liam’s (My Octopus Mind, Leeem) original compositions, which take a playful approach to these influences.

Misty Minds (Autumn 2025) is Troyka's 4th EP since 2009.

Having both kora and clarinet amongst their multi-instrumental repertoire gives The Mandalas all sorts of opportunities, global influence-wise. Klezmer and African flavours feature in their ‘Wicker Man Folk’ fusion in songs of praise and protest, and Greg White's nifty drums always catching the drift.
