Locked in a mysterious twilight, only the groove can let you pass into the darkness. Ranging from modern disco infused techno to guitars made into energetic and swirling atmospheres. From driving berlin sounds over bulgaria to the dark russian regions of music, every track carries a distinct signature and groove.

It's been a fantastic summer. Lots of good music, festivals, and fun times all around. While the summer has clearly come to an end in the Northern Hemisphere, we aren't quite ready to let go just yet. So we'll still release a few banger sets from this summer.

At the Wesertekk Open-Air 2022, Cptn Gnich played this bouncy set. It is brimming with awesome funky and tech house tunes that are perfect for a little open-air booty-shake. But this smooth mix will surely be a banger at your next house party, too :P

Barnow, ein 28-Jähriger, dessen Herz in Köln schlägt, begann seine musikalische Reise bereits mit sieben Jahren. Angefangen mit Trompete, kam später Gitarre dazu und schließlich begann er, seine eigenen Songs zu singen. Mit 18 tauchte er dann in die Welt der Musikproduktion und des DJing ein.
In den letzten zehn Jahren hat er sich durch fast jedes Genre gespielt – von Ambient/Downtempo über Hip-Hop, Indie, Alternative, Disco, House und Techno – und schließlich seine wahre Heimat im Indie Dance gefunden. Sein einzigartiger Sound zeichnet sich durch treibende House-Beats, eingängige Basslines, experimentelle Klänge, nostalgische 80er-Jahre-Synthesizer und viel Herz aus.

Lebendig, mutig, originell. Barnow nimmt seine Zuhörer mit auf eine immersive, einstündige Reise zu den Wurzeln des elektronischen Grooves seit den 80er Jahren. Mühelos verbindet er Underground Tech House, Acid, Indie Dance und Techno zu einem tanzbaren und faszinierenden Set, das gleichermaßen überrascht und fesselt. Mit einem Gespür für das Zusammenspiel komplexer, ungewöhnlicher Klänge als natürlicher Hintergrund für treibende Basslines und kraftvolle Drums hält er die Stimmung locker und voller Spaß, ohne dass die Musik ihre energiegeladene Seele verliert. Mit einer Vorliebe für freche Überraschungen und unbändiger Energie kreiert Barnow Sets, die nicht nur herausstechen, sondern Menschen zum Lächeln und Tanzen bringen, egal wo er spielt.

Another edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is just around the corner, and this year marks its 30th anniversary. As always, Chrom Recordings is ready to celebrate in style with their annual ADE Sampler and a 2-day label showcase happening on Friday and Saturday. Our ADE Chrom Sampler features 10 carefully curated tracks, reflecting the diverse sounds of Progressive House, Indie Dance, and Melodic House & Techno. The Compilation opens with 2 recent Chrom anthems: Horizon, taken from the #100-album by our own label manager Pedro Mercado alongside Karada, followed by our latest single Missing, the iconic 90s classic from Everything But The Girl covered by Yves Eaux feat. Gregory Douglass. The remaining 8 tracks are brand-new and exclusive to this release. Half of them are contributions from trusted Chrom regulars: Fernando Lagreca, DJ Andy de Gage, Paul Sawyer and Daniel Vilchez. The other half is coming from artists who are new to our label: JP Lantieri from France, VUH from Mexico, GELIMA from Thailand and Juwlz from Belgium. We hope you enjoy this years selection! And if youll be in Amsterdam this October for ADE, wed love to see you at our Label Showcase on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th. Just like last years, were teaming up with our good friends from Tanzgemeinschaft, with Strange Town Recordings from Canada joining us on Friday.
