Selected as a Top 10 runner-up in November’s Decoded Magazine Mix of the Month competition.

This mix was born from an idea that stayed with me for years, the desire to connect two worlds that shaped my taste: the dark, hypnotic edge of Bedrock and the atmospheric, melodic warmth of Anjunadeep.

When I became a new father earlier this year, the timing finally felt right. I spent weeks digging through two decades of releases to shape a journey that mirrors the emotional highs and lows of that chapter in my life.

Six custom RÜFÜS DU SOL mashups act as subtle emotional through-lines, carrying the mix from tension to release. As always, I like to work with a lot of tracks, long blends, and quick, intentional handovers. And yes, I really did track every parameter of the mix in Excel.

Decoded Magazine Mix of the Month November Submission – Barnowsky

I'm Zoltan from Hungary, and music has been a defining part of my life since the '90s. Over the years, I've explored many styles of electronic music, creating mixes for over 20 years. These days I focus mainly on melodic and progressive house, often blending in afro house and electronica elements.

I have a passion for precise transitions, harmonies and melody-driven storytelling. My signature style is the high track count, usually 30 or more per hour. For me, mixing is not just about blending tracks, it's about experimenting and creating a unique sonic journey.

In 2025, I was one of the winners of the Saturo Sounds DJ Competition, which led to becoming a quarterly guest resident on their station. The same year, I was also selected twice as a runner-up in Decoded Magazine’s Mix of the Month competition, placing among the Top 10 on both occasions.

Earlier in my journey, I hosted my own mix show on TranceTream.FM, Hungary’s first trance streaming radio and the most popular web radio of its time.
