DaGeneral drops his first release for us with "Poppy" and he also does a remix along with Bageera to round the release!

The original mix of "Poppy" is inspired by his little dog fella and turns out to be a lush and melodic groover full of crisp and driving beats, filled with cleverly programmed and thick percussions that keep the pace with the rolling bass and cheeky vocal samples. This one is aimed at peak time sets.

The joint rework between DaGeneral & Bageera takes it on a completely different route with its broken groove and a darker and growling bass that keeps pushing it all towards more sinister waters along with the chopped up vocal sample and with slight shades of the main synth riff coming through the mix. This should be perfect as an end of night track or to bring a different vibe to the night.

Anyone who has followed Neil Quigley throughout his career knows that he has always been a purveyor of the finest house and electronica. From his residency at his world famous Bedrock parties, to collaborations with Nick Muir and Milton Jackson, through to solo efforts on labels such as Dessous and Shaboom.

Neil’s growing reputation as a producer has seen him work with artists such as Roykssop’s Erlend Øye, Blakkat's Mark Bell and Mobilee songstress Cari Golden. And now his REfINE label together with German tech house pioneers Terry Lee Brown Junior and The Timewriter, ensuring his music will be with us for a long time to come.

He makes his Sudbeat debut with three superb tracks, so lets open his account with the title track 'Forbidden'. This infectious deep gem, is graced with a hypnotic spoken vocal, that adds to the mysteriousness. This subtly builds and intensifies with a seriously cool synth line that grabs you by the scruff of the neck.

'The Sky Calls To Us' haunting strings set the tone as we meander effortlessly, and dreamily along, before we are greeted with an unexpected, yet most welcome acid line.

Rounding us off 'Look Closer'. The classic sound of Neil, deep and moody, but oozing of quality. Subtle pads guide you along, over simple yet effective beats and then that cheeky vocal... this is perfect for early doors or setting a mood.

Sonderzug’s first release on ICONYC back in 2015 was received to high acclaim – with big support from the likes of Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Sasha, Cid Inc. and many more at the time. With his long awaited return to ICONYC, Sonderzug delivers a humdinger of a track fittingly titled ‘Simulated Universe’. The track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through tech inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth.

Australian supremo GMJ, famed for his intricate and refined productions is first up. His rework creates tension from the word go, as the atmospheric and driving vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that keeps building to culminate into a true prime time club monster. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up is Alfonso Muchacho, known for his polished and refined sound, who keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general drive all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding totally fresh - This mystical touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious groove graces the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove, confirming that Alfonso really is a man at the top of his game.

Mace - Jungle feat. Sofi de La Tore (Plump Djs Dub Remix) [OUT NOW]

With a range of talents at his disposal, Diego Carr, has hit a rich vein of form within the underground dance community through his Hot TuneiK pseudonym, culminating now with the "Erase and Rewind" EP for Particles. Owner of the ever-growing Hookah Records, the Hot TuneiK production portfolio continues to impress with an expanding array of remix and production material for the likes of 76 Recordings, 3rd Avenue and Balkan Connection. 

A trio of remixes have hit the Particles catalogues, two alongside Belgian producer, Madloch, while "Through Other Dimensions", part of the "Spring Particles 2016" compilation, showcased the Mexican's original work. Now returning, "Erase and Rewind" is redolent in solid, chunky groove that rolls effortlessly in percussive cadence and off-beat hi-hats. A perfectly spaced bass pattern adds depth as a series of textured pads and melodies filter into aural view. Reaching a crescendo in a stripped back breakdown, a huge analogue bass riff carries the track into the third movement creating a colossal dance-floor destroyer that is sure to find favour across the globe.

UK based, Imran Khan, is 2016 newcomer to the underground dance music fraternity. Hitting the ground running at a considerable pace, a debut on Clinique Recordings with the three-track "Distance Between Us" EP, brought immediate success in November 2016, while further work for Astrowave, BQ Recordings and Stellar Fountain have continued to showcase Khan's talent, the latter accounting for the best-selling "Winter Sun" in April 2017. Now debuting on Particles, the Imran Khan remix takes "Erase and Rewind" on near ten-minute voyage of discovery. Utilising elements of Hot TuneiK's percussive section, the bass dominance of the original is intelligently reworked in rousing fashion. Accompanied by exquisite placement of the chord progressions so central to the original, the result is the creation of a sublime undulating rework full of poise.

The final remix comes from Colombians Kamilo Sanclemente and Golan Zocher. Sanclemente has leapt to prominence through a prolific and tireless production schedule that came of age after 2013's "Angels EP" for Suite 7 Records. Nearly a double century of production credits now sit proudly next to the Sanclemente name with Majestic Family, Stellar Fountain and Perspectives Digital among them. A 2016 newcomer to underground scene, Golan Zocher, has grown in reputation with a clutch of impressive releases for Crossfade Sounds, Balkan Connection and Forward Music throughout 2017. Understandably, Zocher's standing within the underground house scene continues to thrive. Following on from a remix of Dmitry Molosh for Clubsonica, Kamilo Sanclemente and Golan Zocher now make their debut on particles with a brooding, evolving remix that uses the rolling bass groove of the original and transforms it into a dynamic, hypnotic affair. Rising to an exciting crescendo with a distorted, stuttered and pitch bent riff, the third movement is welcomed in stunning fashion. Combined with Hot TuneiK's chord progressions, the resultant work is an impressive debut.

With Hot TuneiK on dynamic form, accompanied by mature remixes from Imran Khan, Kamilo Sanclemente and Golan Zocher, there is certainly no need to "Erase and Rewind".

Despite having known each other for the best part of two decades, Luke Brancaccio & Steve Parry surprisingly, didn’t actually formally meet until 2018. It will come as no surprise however to learn it was their shared passion for dance music that eventually brought them together.  
It could have all worked out differently when back in 2005, Luke didn’t make it to a gig Steve booked him for at his infamous Alderaan nights in Liverpool but that’s a story for another day and their friendship continued to flourish online, blossoming further when Selador signed one of Luke’s tracks for the label’s 5th Birthday project. 
It was around this time that the idea of a collaboration was mooted which is where our story gathers pace. The result, as you’d expect, is something special as the duo draw upon their combined wealth of DJ, clubbing and production experience to create a peak time juggernaut by the name of ‘Control Machine’.  
This straight-for-the-jugular beast is also accompanied by a rather large remix courtesy of Brazilian legend, Renato Cohen who builds upon the original’s relentless bassline adding yet more power and energy.  
Together, it’s a double barrelled weapon alert!

PREMIERE: Luke Brancaccio & Steve Parry - Control Machine feat. Kiki Cave(Original Mix) [Selador]

'First of all, Chrom wishes you a happy new year !!! And we start 2020 with a bang: a very special EP from our label manager Pedro Mercado called "Lost in Acid" containing 4 tracks: 2 tracks together with Karada, 1 with Hartvoice and 1 solo production. This is the second EP in our special "Mercado and Friends" series where Pedro teams up with some of his producer friends. One year ago we released the first one which was called "Lost in the Jungle" where Pedro showed us his love for afro tribal sounds next to his melodic trademark. This time he takes us back to his roots. As a kid Pedro grew up in the Belgian New Beat and Acid Scene, first Acid House and Techno, later Acid Trance. That love for melodies is typical for his own productions during the last years, but now he adds some serious Acid influences in this EP, taking us back to the time of the Smileys, which definitely will put a smile on your face :-)

The first 2 tracks "Acid on Mars" and "Cosmic Acid" are collaborations with his loyal Belgian studio partner Karada who has the same musical background and history as Pedro. It's not the first time they use some Acid influences in their productions, only this time the Acid sounds are more prominent than ever before. With releases and remixes on quality labels such as Parquet, Kling Klong, Proton, Particles, Natura Viva, Manual, One Of A Kind, Dear Deer, Beatfreak,... and several spots in the Beatport Top 100 Charts, Pedro Mercado and Karada need no more further introduction.

The 3th track is a collab with Hartvoice, a duo from Mexico. Hartvoice is an electronic music project based in Mexico City, created by DJ Klang and Victor Rubin in 2015, with the aim of developing a characteristic sound fusing the groove of House, the deepness of Progressive and the power of Techno. Dj Klang has 40 years of experience in the world of electronic dance music, performed at the legendary Berlin Loveparade in 2001 and 2002, started the early Mexican electronic music band LLT and hosted some pioneering electronic music radio shows in Mexico City. Victor Rubin has over 12 years of experience, as a musician, DJ and audio engineer. He has produced, recorded and mixed many bands and artists from the electronic and contemporary music scenes and also has been involved in the composition and sound design for documentaries and short films As a DJ he has been very active in the electronic music scene in Mexico.

Last but not least is track number 4, a solo production from Pedro Mercado, which has been in the making for some years but is finally finished and completes this great EP. Pedro Mercado is known for his versatility, both in his productions and in his dj sets, which he shows us here again combining contemporay melodic house and techno with powerfull Acid sounds!'
